  • @whiteej21 Disregard I figured it out<all I had to do was pay attention

  • @whiteej21 I only remember her from the Floyd song in which that is a lyric, was there really a Vera Lynn who said that?

  • good old days when brit music used to be all about real music & creativity .. now we have shit factor where people looking for 15 mins of fame and fortune.

  • whats the song at 4:10

  • @PMRizzle66 the songs called "We'll Meet Again" by Vera Lynn famous british singer during the war, and its prob our favourite and most popular song during the war, british i mean.

  • I bet the little twat girls think is a star wont have a documentary made for him in 40 years. There isn't anything to document anyways. His little "movie" is just a marketing thing, the producers stole the idea from The Beatles movies (Hard Days Night, Help!). And he stole his haircut from The Beatles. There are talented people and untalented people. Then there are The Beatles

  • @JohnLennoninmyGuitar at the end you made it seem like the beatles were bad you should of said: there are untalented people, talented people, and the beatles

  • @PMRizzle66

    -.- fine...

  • I always love this great band, THE BEATLES, full of inspirations!

  • its amazing how 4 college drop outs could shake history so much

  • "My mother was from an Irish family. Called 'French'...." IRONY?!? D:

  • Some day my dream will come true to get to Liverpool!!! I love you guys!!! John and George live forever!!!!!

    DMBBG 8/1/10

  • THE SONGS ARE EVEN REMIXED!!!!

  • Lets party like its 1922!!!

  • I remember when this came on TV (abc). at that time I didn't know much about the beatles but I got hook on them and feel in love with their music.

    BEATLES FAN FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Y DID JOHN LENNON AND GEORGE HARRISON HAVE TO DIE!

  • Noel Coward turned up at a Beatles Gig in London...after making the much publicised statement 'The Beatles are completely without talent'...he proudly announced at the door 'Tell the Beatles that Noel Coward is here'..the message was passed to the dressing room and the messenger waited for a reply to take back....Lennon was tuning his guitar and said simply....'Tell him to fuck off''....screams of laughter...They didn't give a toss for the established bullshit!...things were changing!...fast!

  • Rialto Ballroom Liverpool 1962...The Beatles and Billy J Kramer died a death...The Undertakers went down a storm...Epstein must then have realised that he would have to stop interfering with their repetoire...he had M'cartney singing 'I'll remember you'...soon after,... they got back to being the Beatles and the magic kicked in again I read somewhere that they told Brian to 'Just count the money'...that's probably true.....They were nobody's fools and Eppy was making a balls of it.

  • Pete Best had the 'Flu one Christmas and Johnny Hutch from the Big 3 stood in on the Tower Ballroom New Brighton.(Late '62)...The best I ever heard them sound on stage.Mcartney was always the most charismatic on stage..people disagree...but I was there!...They always did a few country songs then and even with small 'reslo' mikes..the voices always cut through clearly...the singing was always terrific...We always felt that these were 'ours'..A product of the same city......We knew!

  • Before Pete Best joined paul did a couple of gigs as the Beatles drummer...Lennon's Rickenbacker had a short guage arm because he couldn't stretch too far....Ringo had an Ajax kit,,,then Premier before he got the Ludwig kit.(With 20" bass drum) He was with Rory Storm and the Hurricanes (Great Guys) and was at Butlins at Skegness when he got the definite offer although negotiation had been going on behind Pete's back for a while.

  • What a pity more people didn't see the Beatles with Stu Sutcliffe and Pete Best..younger and rougher...dressed in Black leather..doing Unusual songs..even Fats Waller and the Vernons girls...innovative and exiting...very boyish...an absolute explosion..everybody knew that they would blast their way through the established music scene...just look how many hung onto their coat tails..more important....they were nice guys...1961 Aintree Institute...none of us will ever forget!

  • What is the song in 4:05 please ?

  • @suresnesfc We'll meet again- Vera Lynn

I'm a Sunderland fan and we sang it to Newcastle last season when they got relegated so this song always brings back good memories for me.

  • One thing I loved the most about the Beatles style was the fact that they had no established lead singer; they let each one sing songs and their harmonies were top-notch. I wish more bands today did stuff like that.

  • I'm already about to cry!!! i'm only a minute and nineteen seconds into it! :'(

  • best band 4ever

  • the most awesome band ever! Long Live John, Paul, George and Ringo =)

  • Aren't they all just adorable :). ♥

  • what about beatles anthology (1/8) part 2?

  • Ringo looks adorable at 1:29!

  • the intro just made me cry. God. they all are such beautiful souls. Beatles will always live on forever.

    <3

  • @berrylicious10116 Yep, I started crying at the intro too.

  • Dude, my aunt has a guitar like that!

  • Ringo looks a lot like his mom :)

  • you've done us all a great service by posting this. thank you sir

  • This is the best documentary ever. If you have seen this you nearly know anything important about them. I love them, and i love this doc.! Thanks for Uploading

  • An extraodinary doc on an extraordinary band. I get a little choked up seeing George. I miss him.

  • George is not nearly as appreciated as he should be. He was an incredible artist, his work was amzing. May he rest in peace :]

  • Agreed semprini20. George was my favourite beatle, closely followed by John and Ringo.

Paul comes across as being more interested in fame and fortune than anything else and I find that a bit sad.

Neverthelss I really enjoyed the whole thing and I learned a lot of stuff that I didn't know before and remembered a few of the older songs that I'd forgotten about too. A truly incredible band who shaped everything that came after them.

    Bless eml

  • Yeah I think Paul was certainly responsible for their commercial appeal and is an excellent musician, but John and George gave the band their artistic vision. It was a good marriage, more than the sum of their parts, they complimented each other superbly

  • :DDDD

  • My dad owns the book and the cds. Anyone own the live at the bbc? It's a real nice cd

  • Yup. My dad has it in his original collection. I didn't even notice it the first time I really sorted through it.
