Background acoustic guitar pokes through here and there, barely audible on crappy speakers. Very cool. WG is my favorite metal band. Haven't gotten tired of them after all these years. Vocalist is very odd but gives the band the quirkiness I like. Memorable guitar soloing and very satisfying growl. It's the Sabbath formula but with a twist.
I think this song is actually commenting on the fact that Marxism in it's initial form has lost it's true meaning and intention and has been hijacked by criminal minds, hellbent on destruction.
@Artognou after all the communists manifestos overall premise was a capitalist society and destruction from within to free the proletariat from the elite and, the power of too much capital being in too few hands. Communism in it's purest form has been twisted by Capitalists due to it's abuses in the past...but it's past abuses are also a symptom of a society that struggles to self sustain once it's population arrives at a scale large enough to distort it's evolution.
@Bigmak87 hey bro. there is rly only two studio albums, a live cd, and an ep if i recall correctly so just try and pick up one of their studio albums. they are both amazing!
I think it tells that the SU is rather a common dictation than a communist state so it's against the ussr but somehow pro communism. But i guess it was only to provoke the people back then. Didn't think the band was communist.
The Bass is a credit to Kevin McCreedy (Toss) who has now sadly passed way. I know Zeeb (Vocals) felt Toss was the best bass player the band ever had.
Yeah you can find this 12" on the Buried Amongst The Ruins CD , which is quite hard to find but a search in ebay should find you what your looking for.
Please, pretty please with a cherry on top, die slowly so i can savor ur death. I was thinking along the lines of a heart attack, but then i thought, "Nah. He'll go to quickly." So I've decided to let u live ur pathetic and insignificant life because that should be hell enough, asshole.
shhh 14 year old fag, it was a joke, if you don't like it ignore it. Metallica sucks balls as does most of America and it's music. Sad to say as an American.
American music suck? American music is the basis for all rock as we know it. Band from Europe, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Purple, all influenced by american blues. Its the map for it.
America has alot more to offer than Rock, and unfortunately most of it IMO is awful. Country, pop (ashley simpson???), rap, just to name a few. Even rock in America has gone down the toilet since the 1990s, but that was not the point anyhow. I am talking music in general.
American blues is extremly primitive to european rock music, let alone the great influence that european folk mjusic has made on european rock. Although US had some great bands like Doors or Pentagram the ultimate stronghold of rock and metal is UK.
I'm sorry, but any brainless twat who listens to Black Metal has no valid opinion, especially if they list on of there interests as " slaying monotheist swine" - how the fuck old are you, 13?
Doesnt make black metal good, Albert Witchfinder and his band can like what ever music they like. If my favorite band Black Sabbath for example liked the Bee Gees (which they wouldnt in a million years, this is just a example) I would still not like the bee gees.
@VernianProcess, Some of the BeeGees earlier stuff was pretty fucking good. Check out the album "Odessa". It's really quite good. It was recently re-issued.
@NecroFrost1990 Yeah, it's a good thing the UK gave us such phenomenal rock acts like Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Little Richard!
That being said, and jokes aside, I do agree that the UK bands like Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Sabbath etc. were far beyond American acts of the same generation, save perhaps The Doors.
Thank you so much. This a rare EP (very hard to track down) expensive too for some odd reason
Has this EP ever been released on Compact Disc? Official Bootleged? They new to remaster and rerelease the old WFG material out there. B-sides and all.

Yea it might be a while because the machine I use to convert my vinyl albums to mp3 broke so I gotta get another one. I'll let you know when I post em, probably be in about a week or so.

Pick up Death Penalty.
IMO Friends Of Hell doesn't come close to touching it...
Resurrection just plain sucks.
Don't even bother looking into it.
It's horrid.
Really, nothing they've done since Death Penalty measures up to it...
Maybe I just expect too much...

I think the song is trying to say that the USSR is no better than the capitalist countries. Theyre pro-marxist and anti-USSR.

@crowbarftw And they were right! Any true commies would say it.
Anyway, a great song from a great Band. =)
