...For after all the great religions have been preached and expounded, or have been revealed by brilliant scholars, or have been written in fine books and embellished in fine language with finer covers, man, - all man - is still confronted by the Great Mystery.
@mrlatinaargentina dude ur idiot :D if u say there is no god but Allah, other people who dont know arabic will understand this like we muslims doesnt believe in god, but believe in something different and we call him Allah. that doesnt mean there is no god but Allah. that means There is only one god(Allah)
As for your linguistic debate: You got your English all wrong! "There is no god but Allah" is just another way of saying that there is only one god and he is Allah. Same difference really....
@RoxyTrevellas most non Muslim people thinks Allah is not the god they believe but he is something like buddha... So when u think like them, this means like there is no god.. So better translate it like There is only one god.. And there is only one god is closer to the original meaning..
Sufism takes the moderation Islam creates and diverts it into the mystic. There is a reason Islam is called "the middle path" and when we recite al Fatiha we say "Guide us on the straight path". Balance between all things is key. Sufism skews that balance towards being too ritualistic. Secularism skews the balance towards being empty. Real Islam is the middle ground.
And I honest feel disrespected , as a muslim, when someone doesnt even know or actually doesnt even believe in the kalimah, performs or chants it in a nature which is not befitting of the kalimah.
Then explain,that's all. Would you prefer someone that shows an interest or discriminates all muslims ? I think that all you have to do, is to explain.See now I do not even know what is "kalimah". What is the translation of "kalimah" in english?
@estebelle Okayyy. Now I know where the problem is.... It's Ignorance ! Well maybe you should learn it before you say it. B/c it is the total opposite of what you believe in.
Wouaw, I politely approached you about a subject and bang the big word "Ignorance". And you know what, yes I am totally ignorant about the meaning of the word "kalimah". You should not feel personally hurt ,that was not my purpose since I did not post the video anyways. On that, Have a great day.
@estebelle dont listen to that idiot fuck.. kalimah doesnt means ''there is no god but Allah'' first of all, ''THERE IS NO GOD'' word doesnt fit in Islam, because there IS a god and we call him Allah.. Kalimah means ''There is only one Allah(God)'' unlike pagans... Got it ?
The correct way of translation of the kalimah is ' There is No Deity (God) worthy of worship other than Allah' . So do to the testimony, Any other religion or belief other than ISLAM is not allow b/c all other belief have some god or human being or thing equal to The All Mighty Allah or something of that nature. In other word There's no such thing as Oneness of 'ALL' religion.
@mrlatinaargentina Thank you for your comment. Thank you for your English Translation. Yogis believe in the Oneness of all religions. There is only one God - manifesting in different names and forms. I hope it is ok for Muslims that non-Muslims chant this. Yogis also chant from other religions, like Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianism, Shamanism, Taoism.
@ayurvedayoga I think it's a beautiful phlosophy, and I also think it's perfectly ok for non-Muslims to chant it in this context, so you can safely ignore those who think it's better to insult non-Muslims.
@ayurvedayoga oh and of course its okay for Muslims that non muslims chant this, Islam is sent to ALL people by Allah, not only to the people who are currently Muslim, so Islam belongs to ALL humanity not only Muslims =)

@ayurvedayoga Universalism is a wonderful thing, the world needs more and more of it. There is no deity but the One God!

@ayurvedayoga - Very nicely explained.
A true Yogi is a transcendentalists who sees beyond orthodox religious dogma and cultural etiquette.
Truth is, la illah illAllah is a powerful mantra for God realization.
