Yes we have a young secondary but, we have a d-line made up of 3 vets that should be putting the pressure on to take some pressure off the secondary. Bigtime1998 is a cry baby, and a liar. Early in the year at Husky Stadium Washington was NOT at full strength. Our starting MLB (Cort Dennison) was out, forcing UW to start a freshman. In the Holiday Bowl Dennison was back, and nebraska also had crick, martinez (until UW knocked him out) and their DBs. To say that the Holiday Bowl wasn't a good matchup is the bogus argument of a...well...cry baby.

I just don't see how this is an upset. Locker is still the most talented QB in the draft, and Nebraska was overrated all year, even we (Texas) embarassed them and we went 5-7 without a bowl game.. Nebraska's lucky they went to the Big 10. However long they are there, they'll enjoy maybe 3 titles overall when Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan have their down years at the same time. The only quarter that Nebraska dominated was the 3rd and that was due to our mistakes. Just be very happy that this game wasnt in Seattle because that "meltdown" wouldnt have occured. Yes we have a young secondary but, we have a d-line made up of 3 vets that should be putting the pressure on to take some pressure off the secondary. Bigtime1998 is a cry baby, and a liar. Early in the year at Husky Stadium Washington was NOT at full strength. Our starting MLB (Cort Dennison) was out, forcing UW to start a freshman. In the Holiday Bowl Dennison was back, and nebraska also had crick, martinez (until UW knocked him out) and their DBs. To say that the Holiday Bowl wasn't a good matchup is the bogus argument of a...well...cry baby.

@Bigtime1998 the only game that mattered was the one earlier in the year when both teams were at full strength and both had great motivation to win. Huskers won BIG in what was suppose to be a hostile environment. Nebraska going to the Holiday bowl last year was a lose - lose situation. an unhealthy team playing in the same bowl game as the previous year against a team they already slaughtered. who would get pumped for that. Nebraska will DESTROY Washington in Lincoln this year, FACT!

@snakebandit 56 - 21 was a long time ago... 19 - 7 not so long. the difference being I never thought the Huskies deserved to win the first game.. because they got out played. You are ignoring the score, and the game stats, and insisting there are a bunch of outside factors that caused Nebraska to lose. A young Husky defense got better over the course of a season and out played the Huskers. Grow up, except the loss, and you have a chance for revenge shortly.. just like we did.

You guys did play well and putting 300 yards on the ground against anyone is commendable. Hopefully we can meet again in another bowl game! @michael930t I hope you're right but, we only lost a few players, Hagg and Gomes will be missed as well as Helu, but their replacements played just as much as they did last year. this game in Linclon could very well be over at half. I hope its not but, when youre looking at a defense that is arguably better than it was last year playing against a new qb = a long day for the huskies. I just don't see how this is an upset. Locker is still the most talented QB in the draft, and Nebraska was overrated all year, even we (Texas) embarassed them and we went 5-7 without a bowl game.. Nebraska's lucky they went to the Big 10. However long they are there, they'll enjoy maybe 3 titles overall when Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan have their down years at the same time. I hope they really do think Taylor Martinez is their future. That kid sucks, and sucks HARD.
