  • this bike smokes because its a 2 stroke and on a 2 stroke it has a gas oil mixture this is y it smokes like it does because of the oil burning with the gas its a great bike i rly wish i had one :)

  • my '73 never smoked like this one- used synthetic oil and never was beat by anyone. Just a bucking bronco and tough to have a rider on the back lol

  • Nothing sounds better than an H2 with expansions screaming through a deep valley... Had a 73 off the floor, looked just like this one almost ( added Tony Nicosia TNT chambers, velo stacks, Barnett clutch, and ran ATF in gear box). Let a friend "take it for a ride" that didn't appreciate its power. Gave me a reason to repaint but never, EVER let anyone else ride your bike! Great Video and thanks for the mems.

  • Have you changed the mounting position of the top shock absorber mountings or moved the lower mounts toward the back ?

    There's a nice motocafe very close to where I live but most of the bikes parked there are modern models. Not a collection of great classics in yours.

    I love Kawasaki Mach III 500/750 triples. Modern bikes are safer, faster, cleaner and have better gas mileage but those air polluting, noisy, shaky and gas sucking classics were great, just like the Vincents a generation before that.

  • I had Quite a few triple Suzuki's 550, 750 GT never had problems with middle cylinders. Never had a Kawasaki triple though.

  • I always wanted to get one of them Suzuki triples, they were more refined than the Kawasakis. Came close to buying the GT550 (which looked like it as modeled after Honda CB750) several times but passed on it because I already had too many bikes. GT550, along with GT380 models had ram-air shield that let more cooling air go to the center cylinder.

    I recently noticed that the nearby motocafe looks closed. Too bad, because it looked nice.

  • Sorry silverbird58 where you get the idea the oil is pumped into the carb ? thats have no sense the oil is pumped in the crankcase when it work.... because that oil pump pump more air than oil .

  • i dont know about that globe...i was helping my buddy change a center cylinder on a H2 and there are lines going into the what seemed like the carb area that contained oil. I took as a two stroke thing.........so i wouldnt be surprised if silberbird was right...will call my buddy again and see if he remembers where the 3 oil lines (1 for each cylinder) were going.

  • the early kawi H1's were premix, but newer H1's and the H2 were all oil injected. They have have oil line in two places, one just below each carbs and another for injection into the crank case...

  • The problem with those bike is the oil pump , and the overheating midle cylinder...

  • This one has twin disks up front with proper calipers and a disk brake at the rear. Wow real stopping power, wish mine had had that, lol! I never had overheating on the middle cylinder only it did get wet in the rain and stop sparking. I fashioned a guard I fixed to the frame to stop water being thrown up off the front wheel and that was that.

  • Oil pump goes on the shelf, Pre-Mix is better anyways! And Every Triple 2-stroke that I can think of is prone to problems with the middle cylinder. What do these bikes have for compression??

  • Premix? OK! Just remember that the octane lowers when premixing Bad idea... No problem on my middle cyl.

  • I have a GT380, no problem with my middle cylinder

  • I'm not saying they come from the factory with problems, the middle cylinder is just always the culprit for problems. Not every Polaris XLT 580cc has problems, but the ones that do , it's the middle cylinder.

  • This bike reminds me of the first time I had sex with my sister, it was fun and when I finished we were both very excited. Bikes contain massive horses per power when they're two strokes and can achieve high speeds that are near to breaking the sound barrier.
