@phaedress we miss you, you are a wonderful person please come back. I hope you are well where ever you are. you havent loged on in a little over a year but i have hope. we (you tube) miss you lots! PLEASE!
I just stopped by your channel *again* in the slim hopes that you'd logged on recently, and thought I'd rewatch this video. I was shocked that I hadn't left a comment here before. Damn, I can't believe I haven't left one here before. Anyhow, that's taken care of now. I miss you my good friend Phaedress.
Dearest darling Phraend- I miss you SO much. The daffs are blooming here in Scotland just now and I think of you all the time. Please be "well" wherever you are- I watch your video for me all the time. <3 Your McPhraend
As always, dearest Phae, you are so wonderful in every way. Your legacy is a given, your "brinkness" is similar to all our own. And so was Swayze's. Lovely woman, great guy, loved this! xxx
time stumps closer and closer with big footprints in reality. did not know ps was sick, so this news is even more surprising. calendar "marred". my rl friend is not getting better, so...
so... he is gone. got a call shortly after i posted previous comment. imagine that. i just wish i had a chance for proper farewell, last time we've seen he was still normal. oh well, just my cloistered way of life showing the more real the more real it gets around.
Phae, as a dancer and just growing up watching him on film I was very sad...but he lived all the way to the end, he did it his way and for that I really admire him.
What terrible news you bring of Swayze, but I'm always for a Day of the Dead celebration. I know of a great artist who does a lot of artwork along the Dia del Muerto line - it's awesome. I'll have great reason to celebrate in a couple of weeks after I do my final test for Hep C treatment in which I expect results that show I'm cheating death. So I'll have to pay my due respect on Death's special day. See ya then!

@miyluv I second that motion. Or maybe someone more in touch can let us know how our beautiful Phaedress is doing?

But the stinger is - we are *all* on the brink. from birth to death, we are each just poised ... for the final fall.
I find it ... humorous? no. ironic maybe, how the young (I did) believe there are no limits, see no boundaries, are immortal, until one day...
And then your demise ensues, you ARE it, and all you have to hold on to are the days lived NOW, in this moment.
At 40, at 80, at 110... it's all borrowed time from the moment of that realization.

So sorry to hear your news. Big clumsy reality-boots, natch?
It's never perfect, and 'normal' might just be the best way to have things be left.
It's always the best people who leave us wanting more.

I'd love to be there should I live so long :)

If you start running now, you'll live longer.
(Unless you're on some lonely highway when a homocidal trucker appears to the sound of the Horns of Doom...
but I digress...)

I firmly believe that when it's your time it's your time...
I know how fatalistic that comes across, and don 't worry about that digression. Oftentimes that scenario is the most entertaining one :)

"Nobody puts Baby in the corner."

Thank-you, Mr. Movie Fan.
That is his most famous line, innit?
Not exactly literature...I mean BABY?!
what were those parents THINKING?!
Besides, I love the alternate ending where he gets arrested for being a 30-year-old pervert seducing a minor.
Which takes nothing away from how the man MOVED.

I know my husband still teases me because when I met him, I had a big poster on my wall of Patrick Swayze. I was 25 LOL
Yes he will be missed.
novmoon 2 years ago
Oh, gosh, I think I remember that poster....that smouldering look, those tight pants...
