Hey, if it's over heating it means that it has dust buildup in your fan, get compressed air and blow it through all the vents, if that doesn't work. Take it apart, clean the fan and see how it works, if that doesn't work. Buy a new fan and try that. If that doesn't work I can only recommend sending it of to professionals and seeing that they can do, if that works, buy a cooling pad STRAIGHT away to prevent dust build up and over heating. Buy a good pad that has 3-5 fans that are

I bought this laptop 8 months back. Never took it out of my house.. It was brilliant in the beginning...but now.. I`v got a load of problems coming up one by one -- The laptop heats like a frying pan...15 mins is all it takes to heat up. Once i start performing video editing, the machine powers off automatically.. Guess it cant take the load anymore... The battery has died off completely...So, i have to use the power source now.. Persoanlly, i think this is the worst laptop i ever used.. !!!

@kurtdimech1 How long have you had it? Because the first 10 months or so it worked just fine, i played cod, minecraft, battlefield etc on it. But then it started overheating while playing... My brother and one of my friends also has this laptop, and they have the same problem as me...

This laptop is in one word SHIT. You can't play GTA4, Modern Warfare 2, or Crysis on

a nice level. Grand Theft Auto 4 will even lagg on the lowest graphics! I added this comment using this computer, and I think I screwed 799,- Euro's buying this.

a nice level. " You sux man! I have this laptop and i play Modern Warfare 2 on max setting (45-50 fps which is pretty enough), Crysis on Medium - High graphics (30-40 fps) and GTA 4 on Medium (25-30 fps). Very good laptop!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS LAPTOP SUCKS !!! I bought it about 5 months back and its already givin me bad results. THe first 3 months were awesome. THey the bad days started -- Too much heat is being generated this has screwed up the speakers. THe speakers now jus jaar. The Heat after 4 hours completely slows down the machine. The keyboard is a pain to clean. I gave it 5/5 in the first 3 months. Now its 2/5.

@smrdim123 Dude i suggest you do not open the laptop urself. It can be too complicated. unlike the big Cpu box of a desktop where u can just remove parts, the laptop is made of hardware layers that fit on each other like a sandwich. improper handling may cause more harm than good. Its better to spend a few dollars and get it cleaned by the acer service center rather than doing it urself and causing damages that wud result in steep expenses. Alternately, i also suggest buyin belkin coolin pad.

I honestly have no clue. I've been in your position before and I've been thinking for about 20 minutes of any idea of how to help you. On my laptop (this one) I can change the aspect ratio easily on Source games. I'm very sorry, if I find a solution I will get back to you.
