This goes against the 1st Amendment right to have the state not make laws counter to the beliefs of the church. The workers' Constitutional rights are not being violated, they chose to work for a church that has policies against birth control.

What this will do is cause operations under the umbrella of the church, like certain hospitals and orphanages, to shut down. The church will no longer provide these services because of the laws. That slack will have to be picked up elsewhere.

As a Catholic seminarian, this is sad to see. In reality, the Catholic Church is not about making rules or infringing upon people's free will. They are simply trying to promote and protect the true beauty of human sexuality. This is not a sexist issue. In my experience with Catholicism and with priests, (which is extensive) I have witnessed that Catholic priests would make amazing husbands and fathers, and treat women with more respect than most of you probably do.
