I think so I remember this somewhere in elemantry school before. That tell the history where England arrive to see the Native American begin thankful, huh... I forgot that cartoon. Happy Thanksgiving!
I love Tennesse Ernie Fords singing. I loved him on all three episodes of I love Lucy. He has such a great voice. I recorded this off tv about 10 yrs ago.
oh my god I found out the characters John and Priscilla were real and are my ancestors! Its amazing what you find out with a little family tree digging!
Man.. watching this and hearing the opening theme almost makes me feel like anything is possible.. The world seemed so different and new and beautiful. Feelings that you can only have when your a kid. I to watched this when i was a kid around 1980. I have to pick this up and let my son watch it, he is is now five years old. It's a forgotten classic.
Damn I never realized this cartoon was that old. I watched this in the 3rd grade. I didnt know it came out in 1968. Shit my parents probably watched in when they were in school. Damn thing came out when Vietnam was going on.
you would have to plug your vcr onto your hdd/dvd recorder if you have one ,then record the signal and then save the video on a dvd, but that's going to take you quite a while. thanks anyway
I've watched this at my grandparents' house every Thanksgiving growing up. I honestly love this little movie so very much. I don't know what I'll do when their VHS tape finally snuffs it. It'll be a sad, sad day.
I remember this song! I remember this movie! I wanted to record it in 1995 on WBSK/UPN on Thanksgiving morning. They didn't air it anymore! They stopped airing this in 1994! I'm not sure if they aired it anymore, maybe on Cartoon Network, et.?
I loved this as a kid! I have this so-vague recollection of a song called "When He Looks at Me" Can anyone please please upload this, or is it actually just some figment of my childhood imagination?? lol :)
Oh, thank you so much. I haven't seen this film since I was in elementary school. Oh please upload the whole movie. I really miss it, and loved it. And please try to upload the songs from the movie, especially the long songs between John and Priscilla.
I saw on the bottom of one pages the word thank you. I then looked at another page and I saw thank you. I then noticed the name Rankin written. I was stun because it is the famous Authur Rankin Jr. who produce and directed this video who sign the paper. He is famous for classics like Frosty the Snowamn. I just bought this DVD from him. The odds to get a DVD of this classic is 1 out 1000.
Six months go I decided to try to buy this on DVD. I found it hard to find copy of this cartoon. I saw a couple vhs tapes. I kept looking for a month. One day I saw a rare DVD of this. I bided on it and won it off ebay. I got the pacakadge and open it right away. It was special made DVD. I was confused because I got the DVD but there was 6 coloring papers included with the DVD. Just like the coloring book you give your kid to and tell them stay inside the lines.
I saw this on Thanksgiving Day 1968 when I lived in Dorchester, and I saw it again in 1994 when I was living in Milton! It's a beautiful story!

Whatever happened to the values that this little movie is based on? So sad what we have become as a nation. The pilgrims would be ashamed of us.
