Coverage of the Aumsville, Oregon Tornado (2010)

I live in Aumsville Its was a pretty scary and big deal for the people of Aumsvill .

you guys have to realize this was a big deal for us Oregonians. Oregon averages MAYBE 1-2 Tornadoes a year, if even that. This was a "bigger" one for us. I was at Corban University at the time (which isn't far at all from Aumsville). I didn't see it, but I heard it. It sounded like a train.

I watched the live coverage...how many times do the stations have to do the same thing over and over, its not a liablity thing, its just ratings...

Typical small town types always blowing something out of proportion. Took out a couple of buildings, no one hurt, move on...

@MegaCaptainredbeard I live in south salem. Used to live in Sublimity. i was a volunteer firefighter there for years and a career firefighter in St Hellens. When something happens in these sleepy little town's, its alway's blown (no pun intended) out of proportion. Move on....

All of those roofs off those houses...... It's nice to see how this small community is banding together to help everyone... And what's even better is that nobody died or had serious injuries.

My prayers go out to the people in Aumsville. Can't let our awesome state below us get a freakin' wedge. And a EF2 as well? Heck no.

I know when Oregon is featured on Western Washington news that there's a huge problem.....

I just feel terrible for the people of Aumsville. I honestly do. They have so many crops there and homes and businesses that just got.... evaporated.... by this tornado. D':

Wow! I lived in Aumsville for 8 years! I can't believe this happened! I remember the one in Turner Oregon too! Kinda glad we moved to Albany! I'm praying for everyone in Aumsville!

A pretty little town got a big surprise. In small towns such as Aumsville, people pull together. Aumsville will do just fine.

while the tornado was still twisting i was in school and my teacher went on the loud speaker and said stay inside and all my buddies were saying were all gonna die!

and it didnt hit our school luckly
