  • i like old mate nakedbogan's comment a lot but some things will remain the same unfotsh. there are more dickheads in the world than cool ppl like us. your dad is the best. 10 outta 10 boganwhoisnaked

  • The fact that it sounds like the beatles isn't just incredible technically, but its actually testament to the fact that this 60's sound still beats the crap out a lot of what passes for music these days.

  • having a good trip C:

  • @STEEZEMCGEE Wut

  • stop comparing them to the beatles, they are not at all similar

  • @barnking95 I don't see anything negative about being compared to the beatles. They were a great band but I guess everyone has their own opinion...

  • hasta que los pille!!! excelentes tipos!

  • this is amazing!!!

  • this is what the Beatles would've sounded like today.

  • There is 11 people who have absolute no sense for music :)

  • Better than the BEATLES !

  • @YooAndy even tame impala wouldn't believe that

  • @YooAndy It's good. But... come on.

  • I can see myself back in time when I was just a little sperm trying to race my little clones for the egg, I won!!!

  • This is one of those songs that sounds so much better, loud, on decent full-range floor speakers (15" sub), than on really good headphones or tiny speakers. You have to let it wash over you :P

  • @TKDWolf let the music flood the room yeah

  • i showed this song to my dad and he said "there is finally hope for this generation"

  • @nakedbogan I couldve told your dad that!!

  • @nakedbogan genius!!

  • This guy sounds like he stole John Lennon's voice.

  • those raw drums really kill it man. Sounds like some sampled James Brown drum break its fricken perfect with the beautiful soundscapes they create

  • I do not understand why, but despite the fact that it was released in 2010, and i am now 17, this song evokes heavy childhood memories in me.

  • @superkulmedkniv25 2010 lol

  • Gay comments, amazing music

  • @127miles I feel as my dick is floating in space as the tiny vaginas are welcoming me to their home with infinite love.

  • your not well at all but thats a compliment i dig it man i fuckin dig it !!!

  • @127miles :) so true man. Peace

  • @127miles Totally

  • @127miles not that serious

  • I love it when people have random fights in the comment section thanks

@worricktheweak and @pike9346 Awesome song though

  • @worricktheweak thinks he knows how much distortion tame impala wanted. congrats dood. you should compose, record and produce their songs.

  • In other words worrick, the distortion has functionality in producing the feeling intended by the band in the first place!!!

  • @worricktheweak Congratulations, your name calling and agressive attack just reveals how immature you are and is exactly the typical behavior of the person who is wrong and can't deal wth another opinion. I know what "unwanted" means, if you weren't so arrogant and self-rightous you'd get that I'm saying this tune does "not" have any unwanted distortion. It would have been corrected if they did not want it! So, we're back to square one. You don't get why this purposeful distortion was used.

  • Hey everyone, let's take a poll...how many of you think this song has "nasty distortion" in it like Mr. (worricktheweak) thinks? I think his judgement is a little "weak"!

  • @worricktheweak Nice job showing everybody what a D'bag you are with your know-it-all attitude thinking you can tell professional musicians how to compose their music. Your type just can't stand somone disagreeing with you...I don't need a new hobby, I'm a professional with enough hobbies already and this is only enjoying my free time to answer your misguided little quips toward "me"!! Anything else? I'll be happy to further defend these professional musicians!

  • @worricktheweak Now I know your really detached...suggesting that Hendrix didn't want his music to sound the way it did is rediculous! All I'm doing is answering your reply with a different opinion. The "mountain" you refer to is actually all the people who don't agree with your criticism of this tune! Next your gonna say that all bands are messing up with their recordings since you think Hendrix did!!! Maybe you think you can do a better job...do your own cover of this and put it up!!!

  • The thing that really makes this band for me (besides the fact that they are a breath of fresh air in the Australian music industry) is that they conjure up all these feelings of excellent psychedelic bands from the 60's., and yet, I can't quite put my finger on what specific band they remind me of. So odd.

  • @worricktheweak If that intro hurts your ears all I can say is turn down your volume...what do you think they would say to your complaint that they screwed up using that intro? Just because they wanted it in this song doesn't mean they would use it through the whole album...what band would do that? Each tune is supposed to sound somewhat different! This is an exceptional composition!

  • @worricktheweak Well now, don't get your panties in an uproar! Anyone can own the album and still not get why distortion was used!! You did call it a "bad thing", right? That shows you don't get why it is needed for this tune's spacey psych sound...it is very much needed to give this song the right feel...it is very reminiscent of 60's Psych of which I am familiar! I'm 54 and think this bands music is not only a throwback to another time but also years ahead of most other bands today!

  • @worricktheweak man, your missing the point of this music!

  • every distortion that is in this song should to be in this song

  • Andrew Stockdale recommended this band and since I love Wolfmother so fucking much I figured I'll give em a go...they're pretty good

  • These guys are amazing.. gotta love Perth and the bands that come out of here, ♥

  • I never knew John Lennon and Pink Floyd made an album together.

  • @69zemaria they didnt..

  • about*

  • The only thing really Beatles-like abou this is the singer's voice. It's really similar to John Lennon's but the music is much more similar to early Pink Floyd's like someone else said.

  • @cocoamoo331 I agree. That's why I'm digging them lots

  • @Anders898Avey Same here, they're wonderful and I can't stop listening to this album.

  • I like pizza.

  • @TypewriterMcRevenue eat a dick you FUCK

  • @StanleyWiddos What´s wrong with liking pizza?

  • @LithaQuell nothing im just a troll

  • @StanleyWiddos ah, ok then, case dismissed =P

  • @StanleyWiddos Trolls don't admit being trolls, so you failed.

  • @Pezrawr did i?

  • @StanleyWiddos Put pizzas in my anus.

  • @Pezrawr Most decidedly, yes old chap.

  • >comparing gumby to ringo

    seriously guys?

  • this song kinda makes me horny

  • @stphnyvillegas oh, I had this same thought in the back of my head, but I wasn´t quite aware of it, and it´s real, all Tame Impala songs touch me somewhere in my vagina, like some part in the deep..is not really clitoris focused though.

  • @LithaQuell Wow, that's fascinating...but I've always been fascinated with a woman's pleasure. This music penetrates my brain well and takes me to another place but to feel something physical, now that's something! I imagine you are an open-minded person to begin with to be able to channel music to produce physical sensations!

  • @LithaQuell did i say horny? i kinda meant hungry :|

  • what the beatles would think of this band? They sound nothing like the beatles. no, i think more in terms of what would the early PINK FLOYD think about this band... its got a very familiar 1968 "piper at the gates of dawn" sound... very Syd Roger Barret, the very early PINK FLOYD psychedelic sound before they became progressive

  • It may be sacrilege but I generally like them better than the Beatles...its the extra grits in the butter! :)

  • @dottywhips You just made me like grits, butter AND this song more. Great job.

  • just ordered the vinyl <3

  • Listening to this drinking a wine called "Red Zeppelin" hehe...drink or not love it every time!

  • I love acid

  • i feel... like I'm... in... the vaccuum of space... you know? Just floating, and floating, and floating, and floating, till I feel the heat of the sun, and just smile...

In other words, I'm drunk and this is AWESOME!

  • @BonhamLivesOn that sounds like being high instead of drunk. being drunk sucks

  • thumbs up if u feel like u could just listen to the first part of the song on reverb..forver.

  • beatlelish

  • Absolutely beautiful! This song takes my mind to another place...absolutely incredible!!

  • I love this, but I'm kind of sick about the beatles comparisons...

  • seriously, fuck the 9 people who disliked this video

  • I listen to this sober.

  • Great start to the album....like slipping into a warm bath...

  • @TheMrShadowplay Sounds comfortable

  • Who said rock and good music were dead?

  • @BistouflyTheGreat Old fart haters.

  • @vivelavidarocka Well, doesn't everyone hate farts?

  • @BistouflyTheGreat

I did, time ago, Now I regret...I can feel a fresh breeze in my face again...There is a handful of amazing bands. This is one.

  • Sometimes my nervous system wants them to come and play in my brain.

  • Beautiful.

  • Which song did they play on Jimmy Fallon?

  • thank you jimmy fallon

  • ......blissful hallucination......

  • The first time I heard this song, I played it so many times

    ITunes play count: 576

  • this songs just got acid written all over it...the tune, the theme, the beat, the picture...

  • @metalworshiper123

have you ever listened to the lyrics? they dont sound very psychedelic to me xD

  • @AzariaViviana

if you're on acid, lyrics don't mean shit aha it's the senses

  • @metalworshiper123

so i think when youre on acid everything gots acid written all over it. ;D

i just thought they have way more psychedelic songs... tune and lyrics AND senses :)

  • @AzariaViviana

you make quite a good point there ;)

  • @AzariaViviana sittin around smokin weed. you must mean something else by psychedelic

  • Watched them play twice at glasto, got really high, they played totally different sets in the same day - thats a band.

  • This song makes me want to do something amazing, and do it right, and then just bath in awesomeness...thats how this made me feel whilst driving on the highway

  • Seeing these at Benicassim was the best hour of my entire life.

  • ahh! put it on 1.5 speed. sounds like amazingness

  • Great psychedelic band.....one more to listen to when lsd kicks in! They sound so much like the beatles! great song great band great generation

  • Thanks to the "The Kids are Allright" movie, I now know about this great band. They remind me of super guitar based groups Stoned Roses and Big Country.

  • holy... i searched for this song forever thinking it was by the beatles... great song regardless of my own stupidity.

  • this kinda expresses a modern 60ies feeling. this is sex for my ears

  • If everyone is saying that Tame Impala is a band then why does it say that Kevin Parker plays all the music in the liner notes. Tame Impala is a solo effort I think, but correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @rwaa15 Wikipedia states that Tame Impala is a four piece band. So, no, as far as everyone's concerned.

  • @NeonPsychedelicRobot Yeah I was just wondering, it caught my attention but not as much as this beautiful song.

  • @rwaa15 If you like Tame Impala you might like Warpaint, particularly thier song "shadows" it's pretty amazing as well. =)

  • @NeonPsychedelicRobot Yeah Warpaint - another great band.

Not just as great as Tame Impala lol but definitely up there.

  • Such a good song !

In the same wave that 'MGMT' with somes differences, of course :)

    Very fresh !

  • The sound like TAME IMPALA AND THEY ARE THE BOMB

  • fuuuck

  • @musicdork4ever no man, it sound like jimi hendrix but with the drummer singing

  • Beatles-y. Sounds like Paul McCartney.

  • This is a pretty good song. Too bad the singer sounds like the beatles.

  • I saw them live with mgmt, I enjoyed it but they werent that good in concert

  • ..... crumbles ..... did you like? It sounds like the Beatles on acid!

  • @psychedelictourist ...I think the Beatles sound like the Beatles on acid.

  • After doing salvia for the first time I go to my friend's house and he puts this band on....My life is changed for the better because of the salvia and because of this band.

  • the chords and melody in this song is the most fucking awesome thing i have ever heard..!!

  • I wonder what Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr think about this band. They're really good and sound like the Beatles! I never heard of them until today when someone told me I had to listen to this album

  • @PatrickTX100 they are great but i wouldnt say they sound like the beatles

  • @PatrickTX100 The bass in my opinion sounds EXACTLY like something Paul would play

  • @PatrickTX100 I have read this kind of comments about them, that they would sound like Beatels, but I totally disagree with this... Tame Impala are very good and I really think that they have their own sound, their own style...different from whatever I have heard before (even Beatles).

If they will keep up together like this, I also think that we will hear of them in 5, 10, 20... years too...

  • @PatrickTX100 paul said he wants to work with mgmt

  • love

  • this song makes me feel high

  • @Rulle151 the guitar tab is hard to explain in a comment but the bass is (Gstring)... 0-2-3-12-7-12-10-9-7-5-9-7-5-3-2-
