@MrKillybane Also the British had broke Axis codes, R.A.F destroyed the Axis supplies and crushed there resources, They were desperate for FUEL and WATER whitch broke there Armies! The Axis had lost 100's of thousands of troops, Most captured by the British. The Axis had also lost most of there Tanks,Air-Craft,Fuel,etc And the British Royal Navy was just too good for the German,Italian navy. El Alamein and Stalingrad was the end of the Axis Alliance, They would never recover!
@martynrobin121 You mean their, you little pig? Also, do note the fact that bitching against America for your patriotism and obvious anti Americanism kinda makes you quite the loser/asshole of society. Stop spamming me with bullshit stating how the "RAF crushed the Luftwaffe!" The battle of Britain was merely Hitler's mistake - and I wish it hadn't happened. If Goring had his way, the RAF would've been destroyed. We were the ones who bombed German industry by 60%, and built an actual fighter...
@Tyco200 Its a well known fact that the R.A.F humiliated the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain 1940, However even if the Luftwaffe won the Battle they couldnt invade Britain! And where do you get this bullshit? You said that USAF destroyed 60% of the Axis industry, But its well known fact that in 1944, The Axis were able to produce MORE under Allied bombing than in peace-time. 1944, Was the the Axis record year for production, Thanks to the mastermind Albert Spere, Just research!!
@martynrobin121 <---- PS: Don't listen to this retard! He believes production numbers from 1939 till 1944 were the same, and that Germany was never effected! What he forgets is how Nazi Germany captured steel resources and grew rapidly, and without us, those Crusader deathtraps would spell Britain's end! :P!
@Tyco200 LEARN HISTORY KID,- When Monty arrived in N.Africa he didnt lose Battles, He defeated Rommel and the Axis and in the final major battles of Alam Halfa,El Alamein the Axis were defeated and the Africa campaign over, it was game over. Patton arrived late of 1942, To fight the French. Monty had already defeated Rommel and had the what was left of the defeated Axis forces trapped. You do realise Patton was just a tank cammander, Monty was his superior??
@EngrJrmt LEARN HISTORY- When Monty arrived to take over command of the British 8th Army, Just as planned he stopped Rommel and the Axis advance at Alam Halfa, and the final major battles of Al Alamein the British Counter-attack crushed the Axis Forces and it was game over for the Axis campaign in Africa. Rommel was defeated and his troops left trapped running. Lendlease from America 1941, Was VITAL for American interests, Remember we traded with YOU, MONEY,LANDS,PROFIT,BROKE,LOANS,BANKRUPT!
@martynrobin121 This shit head also believes that WE made MONEY FOR PROFIT from the war. Yea, that's why we sent those tanks. What about your own exports?
@Tyco200 Honestly this is how stupid you are, Its a well known FACT that during both world wars, The U.S made profit and there economy went sky high, The U.S traded and made money. The U.S only did what was best for there OWN interests not OTHERS! I think its funny how you say that USAF destroyed Axis industry, When infact 1944 was the there record year of production, During the height of Allied bombing.
@bh5496 America pushed for war with Germany and Axis Europe, Also America pushed for war with Japan, The U.S was asking for war. However the U.S didnt want to declare war and fight for freedom. They wanted time to build up there military, Also the war was good for American economy. The U.S should have stood up for Freedom and there Allies, Hitler made fools out of the U.S president and invaded just about every nation that America said they couldnt, Even France had the balls to stand & fight.
@martynrobin121 well of course the french stood up and fought because they had direct borders with germany. in fact there were STRONG anti war movements in the US because people didn't want a repeat of WWI where we got involved in what they called "a foreighner's war" roosevelt probably would have lost the election to an anti war party had he outright pushed for war.
@bh5496 Repeat of the Great war?? The U.S missed 95% of WW1. American got involved in the Great war due to the FACT for years the German navy made American ships easy targets. It was time for America to stand up and fight, 1915 The U.S should have been involved in the war. And there was also Nazi movements around the U.S and Anti-British movements, U.S had to pick sides and it was obviously going to Britain, Hitler made fools out of Roosevelt, Yet again U.S should been involved as early as 1938!
@martynrobin121 yes we all know America entered WWI very late but they still ended up loosing alot of men, more than anyone wanted to lose(mostly due to american commanders not listening to the more experienced british and french ones and sending their men in peacmeal line formations as if it were earlier in the war). the point is that many people didn't want to get into a war in a foreign land an ocean away. to them european affairs were none of their concern.
@bh5496 Honestly, They are just more excuses for America! Germany attacked the U.S early as 1915. And European Affairs? The Axis- Japan had invaded Asia. Italy invaded E.Africa. Germany invaded Poland=WORLD CONFLICT. As usual the U.S only care for there OWN interests, NOT others! The British could have said mainland Europe had nothing to do with them and Africa was France problem, Thanks god Britain stood up for FREEDOM. Also Canada,Australia FREE nations VOTED to fight to fight FOR FREEDOM 1939
@martynrobin121 oh please don't give me that shpeal. the main reason britain entered WWI was because they didn't want austrian/german monarchs gaining more power than them. and Australia during WWII was on Japan's hit list, similar to America's situation.
@bh5496 Where do you get this bullshit?? Britain declared war on Germany in the Great war because Germany had invaded Belgium a FREE nation. Austro-Hungary had invaded Serbia who always had relation with Britain & Empire. During World war 2, Japan took advantage of Britain been at war in Europe,Africa,Mid-East and the Japs were sly but defeated in Asia by Slim Jim! Also Japan was part ofthe Axis and Allies to Germany,Italy. Britain also cut Oil to Japan.
@martynrobin121 exactly. war is hell, no one wants war, it's a poor argument for one to persecute someone for not going to war. do you hate on the swiss because they havn't been in any recent wars. the point is that men from over half the world gave their lives in both conflicts, and no one can belittle such sacrifices no matter what side.
@bh5496 "When the time comes we must all do our duty to protect others, Even if the chance of victory seems impossible" (Great war) Germany invaded Belgium, Britain done there duty and went to war. (World war 2) Germany invaded Poland, Britain as usual done there duty and went to war. Germany attacked America and got away with murder WW1, Yet the Yanks did there not do there duty and even protect themselfs! If you will not fight for what is right, what will you fight for? RULEBRITANNIA
@EngrJrmt LEARN HISTORY, 1940 the British outnumbered humiliated the Axis in Africa and took East Africa within weeks. Also stopped the invasion of British-Egypt. The British had liberated Ethiopia,etc and started to push into Axis-Libya. The Royal Navy starved the Axis of supplies in Africa, They were desperate for basic things like water,fuel,etc. The British realise Rommel was like a charging bull, 1942, Alam Halfa El Alamein the final major battles and the end of the Axis Africa campaign.
@martynrobin121 oh yeah, britain has ALWAYS stood up for justice and freedom, all the zulus, native americans, indians etc. just merrily joined their cause to build the oh so righteous empire of britain, oh and let's not forget the irish, so justly and peacefuly ruled under england's thumb for hundreds of years. wow buddy, your view on war and britain are so sugar coated. btw YOU'RE WELCOME for all the supplies america gave you during BOTH wars.
@bh5496 During the Great War it was Britain who gave the most money,supplies during the war. WW2 Yes, The U.S supplies were vital, However just THINK they were vital to protect American Interests and fight American enemies! Native Americans? Remember when Britain ruled over the 13 Colonies the Americans ruled over most of there own nations. After the Revolution the US-Colonials exterminated the Natives during the American Holocaust & invaded West to rape,enslave,plunder,loot,etc i was horrific.
@martynrobin121 did i ever claim that america was a blemishless bastion of hope and freedom like you make britain out to be? NO! i'm just saying don't go around overglorifying your country in such an idealized mannor.
@bh5496 Other American Idiots have made claim that it was the U.S who played the main role during WW2 and "saved everybody", Foolish propaganda. Anybody with a brain knows it was the Soviet Union who played the main role during the war by far, And Britain was the nation with balls to stand up to the Axis Alliance and fight for freedom, Poland 1939 the British declared war thinking more for others, What was America thinking? As usual making profit from the millions killed and enslaved.
@martynrobin121 well it is an AMERICAN documentary about and AMERICAN commander ... its a bit stupid to come to an (i say again) AMERICAN documentary and slag it off for lording up one of the USA's greatest generals ... It may not go into anything about the previous battles with our forces but then the subject of the documentary is patton, he had nothing to do with the previous enagements so why bother? :S
@PhilosopherGaming Well, El Elamein was kinda embarrassing for the British. Fighting 50 known operational panzers in the beginning of the battle, with no known tank besides the Grant Is and IIs that could take on the old, ageing Panzer IIIs and the fact that Monty mostly had horrible defeats rather than great victories kinda shows otherwise. And besides: Do the British ever make documentaries with Patton? Also note the fact that, without him, the war would've been very slow and bloody.
@Tyco200 erm I think you might be misinterpriting the point of my messege,,,im defending the documentary covering patton and its lack of mentioning monty on account of the fact that it is infact an american documentary.
And yes we had our defeats BUT when monty arrived we had a massive series of victories before the USA joined, and on a side note we had more than just the grants (fine tanks as they were) that could take on panzers, the churchill and matilda held their own quite well
@Tyco200 though i might also add having read your other comments perhaps you should just stop commenting, youre clearly a kid who knows very little about ww2 and seems to think the US practically won it themselves, for example crusaders were not the only tanks we had and it wasnt america alone that oblitorated 60% of german industry, british and US bombing tonnage worked out more or less equal, sorry but fact is america didnt "save the day" it took part, theres a difference
This must be incredibly difficult for British Soldiers to return to their death-grounds in Africa, the same place they fought those crazy all-black tribe the Zulus...
see the difference in leadership Fredendall planed for failure but Patton planed for victory. after Ike sent Fredendall stateside Patton came down hard like Gunny in Full Metal Jacket and got those grunts back into shape. when they meet Rommel at the pass again they will win.

This is why we sleep soundly at night, in a warm bed. This is why we can walk outside of our house and feal relatively safe. This is why we can live the "good life", or "live it up" here in america. So next time you see a little kid playing in the street, smile on there face with out a care in the world this is why. Remember these men next time you and your friends are at the movies etc; bcuz it is soley becasue of men like this that you can do that in such a care free manor.

Because of the slapping incident Patton was sidelined in invasion of Europe. Dwight Eissenhower is more concerned about the image of the Army. I really like how Gen. Patton imposed discipline and motivates his Army. Remember also the Battle of the Bulge without him there will be no Band of Brothers.
What's this video about ??? Talking about US lost this battle because of out number ? This is just the early battles against german army , even you have enough soldiers , US may not win
@MajSingletary well, if they make a Rommel 360, or Manstain 360, or Guderian 360, I will be surprised. HC is purely american. They do not know to do anything else
@MrPpavlouk yap i agree..can anybody make Rommel 360,
Manstain 360, or Guderian 360.........im not glorifying nazis but i admired their tactics and against overwhelming odds they can still inflict heavy casualties even when they are retreating
add Zhukov 360 and Konev 360 - they are virtually unknown in the West, yet were those that mauled Wehrmacht at Stalingrad, Kursk, and the great Bagration operations, then annihilated the Japanese Kwantung Army...
@MajSingletary yes i agree. a rommel 360 would be intresting. even yamato 360 sounds good. i'm not trying to glorify the axis powers, i'm just admire the tactics they used.
@MajSingletary yamato or yamamoto? cuz a 360 about a bigh ship that never saw any big action other than at its sinking would be pretty boring and short.
Thanks so much for posting the Patton 360 stuff. I haven't had a chance to sit and watch it on TV but NOW I can! I think the History Channel did a great job on these programs. Thanks again!!!
The movie was great, one slight problem, the roles are reversed. Wonder why they never turn the camera around when Scott was standing in front of the Nations Flag. The roles are reversed...the white guy should be shinning the shoes of Patton, and the black troops should of been in the tanks!!! "Another 'mistruth again' rises out of Hollywood." The 761st was Patton's heroes, the spearhead into Germany...they were all Black...Buffalo Soldiers. Rescue at Pine Ridge. com
On behalf of all WWII and Patton buffs like me, and especially those of us who refuse to feed the cable pig and thus can't watch The History Channel, you have our thanks. Episode 1 was super and am enjoying Episode 2. I hope you continue uploading the entire series. It's guys like you that fullfill the spirit of file-sharing that make the Net what it should be.
No problem at all. I'm glad that many people around the world who don't have access to this kind of academic entertainment or who just don't want to pay the sky-high bills to do so can have their chance here. But most importantly, I wish people like you my most gratitude in fueling my motive to post more of these videos. Thank you.
@BigBoyFatso I second that emotion of AmazonArtCollector, thank you, hopefully some young kids will see these sacrifices my Dad, and uncles made, 1 lies in Belgium, Henri Chappelle Cemetary kia Dec 20, 1944. I think that was the Battle of the Bulge.

Well it was the Afrika Korps last stand, or the last stand of Rommel in Africa. The last stand of the Desert Fox in the desert.
rawdawg15 11 months ago
4:59 Fredendall is an idiot he was drinking his liquor when his men were getting killed by Rommel. Ike had no choice but to give him a section 8 and kick his butt back to the states. and who did he hire Old Blood Guts Patton. time to send Rommel back to Nazi Germany where he belongs.

it mentioned in the video, patton faced poorly trained colonial units... was it refering to the french foreign legion?
ouano1 1 year ago
@ouano1: I doubt it. French Legionnaires were very well trained. It more likely refers to the so-called 'Spahi' troops and possibly North African 'zouaves'...?

This is why we sleep soundly at night, in a warm bed. This is why we can walk outside of our house and feal relatively safe. This is why we can live the "good life", or "live it up" here in america. So next time you see a little kid playing in the street, smile on there face with out a care in the world this is why. Remember these men next time you and your friends are at the movies etc; bcuz it is soley becasue of men like this that you can do that in such a care free manor.

Patton = BADASS, a movie about him would be nice, R Lee Ermey playing as Patton
pcbb01 1 year ago
@pcbb01 They did make a movie about him back in the 70's I believe it's called Patton. It's pretty good too.

10 hours ago We, being human sent by God to live peacefully on the earth planet , should not create so many wars and battles. God will punish those countries , creating wars all the time. They , being devil of creating wars and killing innocent lives, should be punished to death and going to hell after death though they somehow pretend to believe in God or Jesus .

how about stalin 360? is anybody agree with that?
grvc44 1 year ago
@grvc44 I don't think Stalin is a very popular figure with English-speaking audiences....
dokaw 1 year ago
@dokaw but i dont think also that it will be popular among russians specialy the segment of killing miilions of his country men to win a war.
grvc44 1 year ago
@grvc44 Stalin is not a battlefield commander I would rather see Zhukov 360 or Konev

This is the first time american experienced well armed and well disciplined NAZI Germans.

The very best of the best General George Smith Patton Jr

Nowadays, Patton would be sewed for his behaviour. But what a great commander he was. Cann't thank BigBoyFatso enough for uploading these series. :))

It would be funny if they make CIA 360!
(I'm sure the producers will get arrested before they can even start the project if they did that)

@MajSingletary well, if they make a Rommel 360, or Manstain 360, or Guderian 360, I will be surprised. HC is purely american. They do not know to do anything else
MrPpavlouk 1 year ago
@MrPpavlouk yap i agree..can anybody make Rommel 360,
Manstain 360, or Guderian 360.........im not glorifying nazis but i admired their tactics and against overwhelming odds they can still inflict heavy casualties even when they are retreating
dokmonching 1 year ago
@dokmonching
add Zhukov 360 and Konev 360 - they are virtually unknown in the West, yet were those that mauled Wehrmacht at Stalingrad, Kursk, and the great Bagration operations, then annihilated the Japanese Kwantung Army...
ewok40k 1 year ago
@MajSingletary who r they?
FireMast23 1 year ago
@MajSingletary yes i agree. a rommel 360 would be intresting. even yamato 360 sounds good. i'm not trying to glorify the axis powers, i'm just admire the tactics they used.
1stinfantrydivison 1 year ago
@MajSingletary
Rommel and Yamato 360. How can you glorify enemy of humanity. Specially Yamato there is no achievement compared to Enterprise.
mdcsun 1 year ago
@mdcsun i dont wanna glorify them, i wanna see them get their asses kicked on an awesome TV Show =D
