Why didn't you use a Lennon tune? I think Lennon would be pissed if a tribute to him had a Paul song. I dunno if you've seen the interview in which he talks about a McCartney-playing violinist.

I love Paul McCartney's solo career but nothing can match the collaboration of the band. John and Paul were amazing together.
