its the music that should be appreciated, not trying to be cool labeling yourself a rivethead. most "industrial" bands don't even like any classification. it is what it is, electronic music.

Usually artists become part of a scene because they are allowed, in other words, enough people like them to accept them. Just because you don't happen to like them doesn't mean they don't deserve to be played in clubs etc.

Actually it's the DJ's who only play crap like this and the people never hear anything else and the younger crowd thinks this is all thats out there. My local club has lost so many of it's regulars since this EBM crap has taken over. It's funny how Ronan stood on stage and said, "Do I look like a fucking Goth?" He was making a reference to that spoof video that guy made of him.

I like VNV, but they are not really EBM, as Ronan himself has said countless times. F242, Skinny Puppy and Leatherstrip are EMB, while VNV is more of hard-synthpop, i.e., "futurepop". A good club plays both eletronic and rock-based, Sisters of Mercy type stuff.
