This movie scared the hell out of me when it came out. I was 10 years old. It was in the late 50's. I let my adult kids watch it recently. They laughed and called me a pussy. Times have changed.

I enjoyed that movie, the only problem was that the monster only came out twice: in the beginning and in the end [in this scene that we are looking at now]. It would have been nice if that monster [and it is a cool looking monster] had made more cameos.
