  • Whoops sorry, i commented three times!

  • Hi 'lordyboy2', I'm from school... i'm sure you'll recognise me :)

It's not bad so far, I would recommend trying to project your voice a bit more... many videos on youtube often say 'sing from the diaphram'.

Imagine there's like a 'dot' in front of you, and sing at that 'dot'... this visualisation should help with projection.

Also, scales scales scales - there are many vids on youtube that help with this, but scales will help increase the strength of your voice and range.

    Keep on singing! AJ

  • ROFLSHMTFO

  • it doesnt have to be in person. Youtube man, youtube haha. Look at videos of 'how to sing'...anything, it all helps...

  • i really think you should get some more singing down too. practice practice practice even if you dont have a 'band' because it takes yearsssss and yearssss to get any good. i know im probably still shit but i practice every day and get help from people i know can sing. So just stick at it, try to get rid of the airy sound and keep me posted on how your going

  • will do, problem is, the only person i know who i like who i know can sing kinda... dumped me the other day, so that might be a bit hard for me to get help there

  • ok man this is what i can gather. i started singing for a metal band not too long ago and the biggest problem i was having with my screams was myself holding back, not putting my voice into it. The airy sound of your vocals here, although not screams, tells me that you are holding back. Try talking as loud as you can, then using your stomach (diaphram), project outwards, any note any key, just louder. this will gelp get rid of the airy uncontrolled sound. I think this would be your first step...

  • thanks for the advice, although i won't be singing much until my band find a drummer, and our bassist learns how to play bass

  • you dont suck as bad as some people might =] dont be so harsh on yourself . At least your gettimg most ques right. And you just sounded a little shaky towards the end. Didnt completely suck lol.

  • thanks, first time someone has actually complimented me about this. also wicked name

  • Well fuck, someones got to. People are rude.

  • Also thank you very much on the compliment =]

  • wow you really fucking suck

  • i know :)
