  • the song is not requiem for a dream, he s called lux aeterna

  • . a bit long, but the idea is great

  • -I am walrus

    -Shut the fuck up, Donnie

    -I am walrus

-Shut the fuck up! Vladimir Yilich Ulyanov!

  • For the LOVE OF GOD, this song is NOT called "requiem for a dream", it's Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell and it was the soundtrack for the MOVIE "requiem for a dream". *freaking out like Walter*

  • The Big Lebowski is some serious shit.

  • COMIC SAAAAAAANS

  • cant stop laughing

    awesome clip

    hhaahahhhahahaghahahaaghahaghahahh

  • I think you had a very good idea...if you change the context the feeling you have may change...well done!

  • Though i agree that this music is a bad choice for a movie like big L, i can easily appreciate what you are trying to show with this. The music of a movie dictates the mood - as we so clearly see and hear in you clipsession here - and affects us in so many ways, even ways we dont even realize and pay attention to in the moment.

    Thumbs up for something meaningful.

  • Two of the greatest movies to ever exist.

  • I cant quit laughing, anyone whos seen the movie would probably be giggling at this too..

  • name of song plz i have always ben wondering

  • @onecoolcat141 /slap

  • @reteliker humh?

  • @onecoolcat141

the song is Requiem for a dream -.-'

  • Unfitting music ftw.

  • Parts of it worked, particularly Donnie's death.

  • Well done!

  • ГРАНДИОЗНО!!!! Супер!!!

  • @1983Grendel

    hahahaha... sinep.

  • wow, im too tickled, Abide, and Amen..

  • to all the troll fuck wits out there, go die somewhere alone and dark, The author of the video clearly states that this is an experiment to show what music can do to different movies, or images, grow the fuck up and give credit where credit is due. If you can do better, leave a link in your comment so we can see where your addition to the collection may be an improvement. If you can't do better, at least grow balls and admit it, instead of acting like a spoilt brat who just had his ball nicked

  • @binkiie4dictator

    Good rant, brother.

  • Great way of showing it dude! Nice example!

  • For some of you (RebirthWoWGuild, etc), this wasn't made to recap the entire essence of The Big Lebowski, it was more to show the way in which music influence movies. So, wasn't made to insult anyone more of a way to show people, what different kinds of music can do to different kind of films. I'm sure one could also take scenes from any horror movie, put over a happy tune, and come out with a "montage/trailer" w/e, that makes it look like a move you could bring your kids to.

  • @IndustrialisedGuitar *movie. so atleast stop bitching about that. but I'm aware that the quality of this movie might suck, but please feel free to comment still :)

  • Uhhh lmfao fail, wrong song for the wrong film you fuckin faggot ill never forget this travesty

  • through this video the film seems full of agression and action.

really good work. nice kind of view!

  • the editing in this mashup trailer is terrible

  • it was good.

  • FUCK YOU...

  • i wish you would re-do this with a little more care on the audio levels...

this is seriously funny... the music just completely drowns out the dialogue.

  • jonnie1234321 That's the point, dumbass! Out of the box, son!

    I love it!

  • This very undude... the dude would not abide. However, this is kind of funny

  • lousy edit.

  • oO

it totally changed the sense of the film oO

  • Requim. Ha ha

  • Some really good timing on many key points, but just let the scenes play too long in most instances. Great idea - you inspired me to make my own.

  • OMG, turning the most hilarious film ever into an action driven blockbuster thriller by cutting and music editing is like MEGALOL with ten mushroomclouds ontop of it. ^^ And don't mind those infidel defilers who don't get this clip. ;-)

  • fucking music

  • The underbelly of Lebowski - awesome.

  • Brilliant!

  • See what happens, Larry ?!

  • The Highest compliment I can give something to call it "ART" and THIS IS ART!!!

  • fucking incredible

  • Great job, i think you can see how music can change a movie!

by the way on of the best movies!

  • dude...its lebowski.....not requiem....cant juxtapose them... haha

  • You think I'm fucking around here??? MARK IT ZERO!

  • This song can make anything seem dramatic as hell.

  • It was good, but you really need to work on your levels. Lower the soundtrack and bring out the vocals in TBL. Nice editing though!

  • MARK IT ZERO DUDE!!!!

  • excellent video editing and music choice!

    great job dude!

  • changes the whole tone of the film - genius :P

  • LOL. dude, the marmot part is fucking great.

  • Genius

  • I'm loving the whole serious, dramatic angle on the BL!! My two great loves, Big Lebowski and Lux Aeterna!!

By the way, that's what the actual score is called. It's been dubbed 'Requiem for a Dream' after Darren Aronofsky used a version by the Kronos quartet in the film (Requiem for a Dream).

  • You see what happens? :D

  • this song is used on youtube way too damn much!

  • I love it!!!!!!!!! You rock, your a fucking genius.

  • lol I didn't know the big lebowski could look so serious

  • Kronos Quartet and "The Big Lebowski"? Is this some kind of deranged joke that normal people don't understand? Cuz' I'm not fucking laughing. Tell you what: How about some Vangelis and "Ladykillers"... ?

  • Awesome song, but it does not fit The Big Lebowski at all. You just turned this hilarious movie into a grim drama. Well, you tried.

  • I see you were born with a certain type of mental retardation where you can't detect irony. It's supposed to "not fit," I'm pretty sure.

  • I liked it very much... seriously

  • HAHAHAHAHA THE MUSIC CHANGES ALL

  • great work, the sound brings another flavour to the movie.

next time try the lebowski-music fpr requiem for a dream? maybe it becomes hilarious ;-)

  • BUahahahha

  • a-ha-ha!

    thats marvelous.

  • the wrong song for the wrong film i think...

  • @jonnie1234321 Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man...

  • @jonnie1234321 I thought it was awesome

  • Well done!

That clip turns the perfect comedy into a hart-breaking drama... ROFLMAO

  • I'm so sick of this song, but this is the greatest movie ever.

  • Good work man. Great Trailer !

    Big Lebowski rules. RFaD sux!

  • This isn't from requiem for a dream, this is an orchestral track based on the theme from requiem for a dream and it was written for a trailer for the two towers, was actually called requiem for a tower.

  • this is ridiculous.

  • You Jackass, the title track is called Requiem For A Dream because it's from THE MOVIE CALLED REQUIEM FOR A DREAM. Nice though.

  • GREAT VIDEO! Have to say it's hilarious (knowing the movie quite well) up until the part where Donnie dies. Then the movie and soundtrack you played link up quite nicely. Good job.

  • epic all the way through to donnie

  • 3:52 Wow that fucking worked good ha

  • There's just nothing bad about that film.

  • My favorite scene is when the dude is reporting his car stolen and hes telling them about the rug when maude calls saying she took the rug and all the cop says is "I guess we can close the file on that one."

  • This is what happens when you fuck a stranger in the ass!

  • It originates form requiem for a dream, but was used in a theatrical trailer for lotr.

  • the soundtrack isn't from lotr its from the movie "Requiem for a dream"

  • the song is NOT from LOTR, you Moran.

  • it's moron not moran, you moron

  • fuckin A. lol

  • @hahnenkampf88 haha

  • while I don't like how it was edited, I was very suprised and amused to see how the LOTR soundtrack mixed! Make another one mate, shorter, edit the actual samples of the scenesand mix em up a bit more, that would make it f***ing quality!!!

  • way too long. the point of a trailer is that it's short and to the point. Would be hilarious edited.

  • That made me want to watch this movie even more for like the 90th time!!! SO FUCKING GODLY hahaha

  • Pretty good, could've put some more work into editing it and it would be a perfect 5.

I do think it would be great if a person who has never seen the movie watched this trailer first before watching the movie, heh. They would think it's some sort of crime epic instead of, well... :D

  • i like the original too but that was pretty cool...and someone worked hard on that

  • why cant people just post the original instead of these fucked up, low grade cut and paste, badly remixed clips? Fuck!

  • Amazing job!!! ( Subscribed )

You should have added to one of the loud parts of the song one of the parts from the movie that walter tells Donnie to Shut the Fuck up... xD

  • the song is from the movie requiem for a dream....

  • This is great, but you should trim it more, use better video and make it into a nice RECUT. ;)

  • i'm sorry but that is just wrong.. the soundtrack is from the movie "Requiem For A Dream"

there is no way that was used in lord of the rings..lord of the rings has it's own soundtrack..

  • I think it was used in both. Or there's a similar edition or something. Give both a listen, you'll see what they mean.

  • They used it in the trailer, but not the movie.

They have reused this song a bunch of times in other movies and stuff.

  • Could not have picked a worst song. This is the coolest, most chilled out film known to man. And you go and make it into a sinister thriller. Not cool.

  • Aw! It's having fun with editing. All in good fun. ;)

  • I enjoyed this. The poster is using hyperbole and parody with the music soundtrack. These are things that only educated people pick up on.

  • The below comment is to thenegotiator.

I really love "Requiem", too. Nice, Industrailised.

  • Nice Video. But i don't really think this song fits the Big Lebowski. Less epic and more easy-going music would be better.

But that's just like .. my opinion, man.

  • Mark it zero! You think I'm fucking around!!!? Mark it zero!

  • the Requiem for a Dream soundtrack is overused on youtube. I mean REALLY overused.

  • 4th video today i've seen this song on, lol...your right

  • Nice!

  • cool

  • Great demonstration on how much impact music has on a film. Nice work of art.

  • this is the shittiest music to pick for this movie.. .

the dude would for sure not be feeling this

its like making a movie about him and having the eagles on the osndtrack.. this music is way too intense and hsoul dbe used for dramatic/sports scenes only

  • I hate the fucking Eagles....

  • Yeah, that's kind of the point of the joke?

  • The music is from Requiem for a Dream, yes, but other films like LotR elaborated on the score and made it more intense and *cough* better *cough* then the track used in the film...

  • You're incorrect. Every version of this that you have heard is from the soundtrack to the film. Including this one. You're ignorant. Do not speak as if you know about things you are ignorant of.

  • And you could be more polite :\

  • Yeah, but I didn't want to be. You thought you could tell everybody about all your cool-shit knowledge, but you're wrong. You're just wrong. Every single version of this song that you have heard is from the original film soundtrack.

  • Gosh.

  • You are wrong. This version is from the movie where they go into the center of the sun to start it up again

  • mong

  • This is the music from the film "Requiem for a Dream". It has been used in too many films, but people should remember it from Requiem for a Dream, one of the best films ever made.

    O Tempora, O Mores

  • yea wednesday

  • Thats the music of Lord of the Rings

  • except this is the music from saw, not the lord of the rings

  • this wasn't in saw

  • dude they use this music in like everything, and it wasent in saw or lord of the rings

  • It was used the The Lord of the Rings trailer but it originated in the movie "Requiem for a Dream". Fantastic film.

  • DO YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS LARRY

  • If I hadnt seen the movie I never would have known it was a comedy. Nice use of the music and your editing was awesome!

  • very nice....i still laughed at the jesus part though haha.

  • If you don't already have a job in Production, you better start looking...that was GREAT.

    Very talented!!!

  • epic

  • that was good work.....huge lebouwsi fan...huge req fan....great work using the action scenes with the action music.....great usage of everything....send it to warner brothers maybe theyll give you a job......good stuff

  • suddenly the movie has got such a different feeling - you think "oh god - they are all crazy and that's why humanity is going to be fucked!" while normally when i watch the movie i think "great everybody is crazy - that's why I just keep on laughing!"

  • nice man...

  • killer my friend.

  • hahaha

  • Nicely done, very original in a lebowski way.

  • The soundtrack is actually originally from the movie Requiem for a dream, and is called "Lux Aeterna".

  • neeeet schlecht... i love this song and this film!!!

  • fucking fantastic!!! Great job dude

  • Thank you very much :)
