  • just the way i like its, no pistons :]

  • Rotary engines burn oil (blue smoke) if the main seal is compromised or completely messed up. Even rotary's shouldn't burn blue smoke when properly running,

  • So you have taken the shitest car in the world and fitted the shitest engine, impressive.

  • @Manoo62 can u explain ur opinion? Both the car and the motor have great histories in Le Mans, one of the most highly regarded races in the world.

  • @miek127 The Porsche was a shit design on day one its take 50 years to elevate the handling from lethal to acceptable, probably the most overated car in the world. The rotary engine just isnt worth talking about.

  • @Manoo62 Porsche... it's not your standard set-up for balance I guess, but it seems to have suited a lot of drivers well in history. They seem to hold their own in the Le Mans GT class, agree?

If someone understands how to control it, it could be acceptably lethal on the track.

I always hear that, without losing rear grip, that the RR set-up handles like it's on rails...idk.

Just curious... what's your preference of sportscar and motor?

  • lol @ the wing wow and wtf?

  • @Tnesjed That wing is engineered by Porsche.. I think they know a thing or two about what that car needs.

  • how was to cooling done. any photos ,do you still have the porsche

  • that things gotta just haul ass!

  • o.O the spoiler looks kinda lame. just saying.

  • @yurmomsbuddy Thats the original Porsche Whale tail bro.

  • man u just ruined a nice classiccar

  • Great job! That rotary is a great improvement over the original piston engine.

  • sounds silly..the original porsche sund is way better

  • stupid ricers

  • @barathj174 why because he improved a German vehicle with another German engineering martyr ?

  • RICER

  • I want to see some road course footage. I'm curious to know how it handles compared to the regular flat 6.

  • Thats a nice toy! :P

  • The sound of the rotory engine sucks!

  • why would you put a gas powered die grinder in a porsche???

  • what a waste of a perfectly good porshe

  • boner...

  • che cazzo lo sanno tutti che un motore fa rumore, tenerlo acceso e accelerare non serve a niente solo per inquinare invece visto che è accesa non potrebbe andarci????????????????????'

  • Yeah, I agree....

It appears to be a 12A rotary engine.

But you can tune these engines quite a bit. Now I'm curious what the power is....

  • its either a 13B or a 20B Rotary engine. And for the post down the page, rotaries really dont burn that much oil, mine would use maybe a mm or 2 off the gauge every week or so, just depends how much of a whore u treat it... u treated it like quite the slut =).

If your going to get a rotary please consider the cost factor of Petrol and rebuilds, they do get expensive and you'll need one every 100k-150k to keep it in good shape

    Happy Rotary Hunting. =)

  • @TheReaperDK As a general rule of thumb I have found is that it takes about a quart of oil every other full tank of gas if you are driving it hard constantly, i.e. you live 8 miles up a canyon that you drive hard everyday. Even then you can expect at least 130k miles out of the engine at 1 quart every other tank of gas and beating the engine really hard.

  • @TheReaperDK mine burns like a quart per 2-3k miles....and its got 115k miles on it.

  • That's all very nice..!!

But why haven't we discussed the power of the engine? Is it a Mazda rx7 engine with 115 bhp. The car is currently for sale in Holland and I'm curious.....

  • ffs would you look at that wing!

  • how lame I have a 1991 c2 that I wouldnt think of doing this to

Just use the 3.2 liter and a large turbo kit or buy a twin turbo model and get the hp numbers that way

I went with a gt35r and we expect numbers of 550-600hp

That is plenty for a car like this

  • Dude... A 91 C2 and 68 912 are completely different cars. A 68 912 has more in common with a VW bug than it does with a late model 911. A fully race prepared rotory cost about 6000 US out the door and will last for 1000 hours. How much to you think a race prepared 3.2 with a turbo and the rest would cost? 25000-30000 US for 600HP... How long you expect those turbos to last? 8-9 hours before a 2000 US rebuild... I'm not trying to be a dick, just use your head befor declare someone lame.

  • @samtech79 yea but they did kind of defile a 912... there are only so many of them left on the road. I love seeing them used hard and enjoyed to the fullest but it just seems kinda sad. Nothing against the rotary I actually like all the rotary engine but a porsche is a porsche and if you don't have the money for a porsche racing engine then just race with the stock engine ya know :-P BTW a fully race prepped rotary engine costs a whole lot more than 6 grand try 12-20 depending on quality.

  • looks like the car poops when he hits the gas....

  • lmao... i know i'm going to get shit for this...... but he is prairie doggin' it!! lmfao

  • umm can i put a rotary in a 944, cause hters the ls1/ls2 conversions for them a rotary is smaller soooo...

  • you can fit anything in anything if you try hard enough! even a pussy into a dick!

  • Whoa, I bet that thing gets with the program.

Say what you want, when 2.7 liter owners are rebuilding their bottom ends every 20K miles for not much less than a down payment on a house this guy is probably trying to decide if the wheels on the trailer should match the truck.

  • hahahahahaha, lol, well put

  • or how he's going to pay for all the oil its going to burn!

  • I have a stockport S5 N/A I'm running Royal Purple 15w40 and it has the electric metering pump...never had a smoking problem...

  • You didnt have an oil metering pump? Your motor still burns oil if you premix!

  • metering pumps are unreliable, i run a premix in my jport i'm not running the recomended mix just guessing with 100mls of castrol r30 per 10 litres i've never had a smoke issue

  • sick sound!!! loving IT!!!

  • oh my thats a rotary no doubt. love that sound!

  • the spoiler is ugly and i hate the big body kit

but the motor sounds awesome somewhat but it would be better with turbo

  • i take that back..now that i listen to it more..its sounds like a 20b

  • I wanna make out with youuuuU! u should totally msg me back! my contact info is in my profile. a

  • do you have any pics of the radiator set up in the front? and what kind of radiator did you use?

  • nice car, just picked up 68, with a 13b turbo II. it's a project, but it's a start.

  • the three rotor 20b is designed to have high torque and its soud like a 20b

  • you're a dumb fuck, rotarys rev up to 9k, torque doesn't move a car, it just applies force, horsepower is what determines speed. Take a physics lesson

  • only 9000rpm? i'm ringing my 11,000 tacho in my full cut monster jport swinging o'z in second

  • awesome car and awesome powerplant :)

  • Yeah spoilers are cosmetic in most cars. this looks like a race car to me, and it is a Porsche spoiler so it is probably tuned to the car, I think it looks bad-ass. Yeah spoilers don't really work at low speeds.

  • sounds like a moped at the end..

  • well it actually sounds quite nice for a porsche, but wide open would sound better i believe

  • this is not a porsche motor..this is a mazda rotary motor...sounds like a 13b

  • actually i enjoy time on the track to thanks to some parts from CPP performance, i like straight line racing as much as the next but curves are more of a challenge in a lowered bigblock truck and that interests me. 11 seconds?? i have had a small block with nitrous in my truck and i ran a 10.87 and i will prove it to anyone and when i said that spoiler is cosmetic i ment it looks like a honda one and they arnt for shit, if you tuned it to the car then im retract that portion of my comment

  • IS good to heard your truck can run 10 sec and under. The car I have cant never be that fast in Strip........

Post some of your Road course video next time, I will go check it out !!

I never know the rear Spoiler design by Porsche motorsport can be in cosmetic..??

any way have fun in your car. since we are all gear head inside

    J

  • its funny because even with that rotary my 1966 c10 would smoke it. and if thats not a spoiler tuned for downforce then why the fuck have it? my 454 would hand that thing its ass

  • Sure. I agree. no car can be Big block on Straight line. But please no more smack talk. prove your car can run under 11 sec under with Time Sheet... Talk is cheap. special the Street racing talk.... If you cant drive on The Track(Road Course wise). Please dont say any thing about Down force !!. Last Enjoy your cruise , not thing wrong with it. but I enjoy Driving on track more. And that require "Skill" not just Power and mouth....

  • @route66boy haters gonna hate.

  • Best ever conversion for a porsche. Great car with and awesome engine.Would be even better with a 20B PP.

  • interesting conversion, Have you mounted the 13b/12a motor in the rear still or have you moved it more mid-engined set-up? what's it like to drive :P ???

  • the guy how made the video should film a lap of that car on the track it has 2 be nose heavy and ant that 88 not 68

  • Its a 68 but it looks newer. I know I purchased the car from this guy. I will have it on the track in about 6 weeks. Look for my films..

  • ok kool

  • i was about to say that looks alot alike with ur old porsche

  • they make a kit but I can't remember who. Try Atkins rotary.

  • how hard was the swap? I want to pick up an early 911 and do this.. Ive swapped an sr20 turbo motor into my 240sx so im familur with work etc..
