He absolutely dominated his weight division, he was won of the best light-welter's in recent history, and if he stayed there he would of been undefeated, simple.

Mayweather tried to change Hattons style, he wanted him to try to box his opponents technically but Hatton was an all out brawler, it was his style to try and knock his opponents head off!! He was the most exciting light welterweight ever!!

Hey listen I cannot believe some people are talking asif Hatton wasn't one of the great champions of his time. Yes he got schooled when he went up and fought the top guys, okay so he lost. Atleast we know he had balls. The real point is that Hatton was THE man at his own weight division and the only reason he had to go up is because it was quite obvious no one could beat him at light welter. Hatton a real champ.

hatton is a b class fighter. im from england and think hes great. hes a one dimensional brawler tho. forward everytime, very little counters. he only has so many fans coz hes a nice guy and exciting to watch. hell never beat ythe likes of your mayweathers,pacqiaous, mosleys, cottos etc. he mite of bin better if he dint put 6 stone on inbetween fights. but yeah i like him.

@warrior688 I watched the video and Ricky Hatton was an in your face , fast paced fighter, not a boxer. I watched Ricky Hatton make fun of FMJ padwork. He had no idea that the padwork was for counter punching and reflexes. When you underestimate your opponents skill and go in with the idea you are invincible, the minute your game plan is faulted and you have no back up plan, its just a matter of time before your opponent finds you out.

I actually thought Floyd Mayeather Sr. was going to help him a lot but obviously i was wrong...because Floyd said he wasn't going to change him, he was only going to better what he had already which is what I think is the only thing to do with a fighter like ricky, however, i do agree he should go back with kayes, hell even go back with bily graham he was always a fun gun to watch haha

Cotto and Marquez are still two of the biggest names in World Boxing...both of them would be a stern test for anyone. Id like to see Ricky go back to doin his strength and conditioning work with Kayes from the old team, do what he does best in this video...brawl,maul and bully...those sick body shots are awesome....I also think the extra strength he had in his thighs from all the weights really increased his ability to both take and give a good punch.

An awesome fighter...no doubt about it!!
