Thank you for letting the tards have a choice in what they believe. My mother forced me to a Catholic Church my entire life, I am 18 now and reconsidering everything I've believed in and prayed to. I still don't have the choice and I can't bring myself to tell my mother that I am no longer sure of what I believe in.

We share a church building with Mormons and we sometimes hold dinner parties together. I love their outgoingness and laid-back personalities. Through experience, you don't really get that same warmth with many Catholics or Protestants.
I'm an atheist, and while I think what. I believe is true, I wish it was not and I did have a faith. The only reason is that when I grow up and have children and they ask me questions about dying, I don't know what to say to them! @FrazzleAndTheWolf What do you mean "the truth"? That is the truth in Shay and Katilette's eyes. You're making it seem like every religious person knows that there really is no god. That is not true, and religious people including myself know there is a God. You may not believe so, but they do. It's not like I think that every Atheist knows there is a God, because I honestly think a good majority of them don't.

@NIleylove108 No, all atheists do not KNOW there is no god, they simply believe (correctly) that there is more evidence against the existence of one than for. On the same amount of "evidence" for a god I could start believing in Sekhmet and be just as justified.

This is depressing... to think that all the past scientific and philosophical advancements for society were in vain. Christians and Muslims or any other religious believer is nothing more then a victim of child indoctrination within a culture. I am shocked to find out that these people have not yet discovered that god is dead. Monotheistic religions are the embodiment of the complete destruction of reason, logic and rationality. Life based on faith and not on reason = Intellectual suicide.

That may just be your take on life, but if I have nothing to believe in, then life isn't worth living. Explain to me how life without purpose is a good life. Religion may be "depressing" to you, but it actually helps others be better people, and brings them inner peace.

December 24 at 8:00 in the morning a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found dead.Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death.His mother cecked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened.Turns out he was still signed into myspace.She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter.If you don't repost this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight.Sorry don't want to die

I was in the army when you uploaded this video, and wasn't planning on watching every single video I missed during that time, and i haven't. But I stumbled upon this one, because of a discussion somewhere(as you said). I remember I was really stranged out when I found out you guys were mormons. I'm an atheist myself. But after seeing this video, I am totally not stranged out anymore. Very nicely dealt-with situation, and overall message. I wish you and your family all the best!

shay i have to say this. if it does come across as rude i have no intention of it being this way. i was just woken up by my neighbors playing the tambourine at 1 in the morning and decided to watch your videos. you kick some major ass handling that the whole religion/death topic and i don't know why but i want to thank you for being more understanding with your kids then my parents were with my brother. that is all

i love the way shay explains what he believes in and tells his kids that they can believe in whatever they like when they grow up. i mean tht dsnt mean tht theyre gonna grow up and choose different religion, it jst means tht they will be more open minded. I have so many friends tht hate any kind of religion, or any kind of talk about religion jst cuz their parents FORCED them to go to church or religious gatherings. its jst sad, cuz theyre so close minded. kids shud know things around them

i remember being princesstards age and my dad used to talk to me before I went to bed. I had a bunkbed just like that and i remember we used to talk about things like what happens when you die and why you pray and things like that. I miss it :(

@whiteblackpenguin People like that put a bad spin on us Christians. People think we are just the people coming to your door at 8:00 in the morning asking to preach. I hope this video kinda shows you that, I would love to see the world united in the christian faith, but forcing a religion upon people just doesn't work. there are explicitly written passages in the bible saying that we must choose our faith. When a Roman emperor (I forget which one) tried to force it, It nearly destroyed the faith

you're not forcing your beliefs on your children, just explaining your beliefs and giving them the option of believing what they want. to be able to speak about such a sensitive, heavy, scary (for some people) subject and reassure your children, is just amazing :)
