Folks, its not the drivers fault - if all wheels are locked and its still sliding, its the dockowners fault - they have to constantly scrub the algae build up off the dock, or you get this type of situation.

That truck is not totalled. It's only water it dries. Everybody thinks their truck or car is dead or totalled when submerged in water, all you have to do dry everything out and change all the fluids, in the engine, tranny, and rears. And possibly check a few electical parts. If you like the truck enough its worth the work.

Oh man, my father almost lost his car into the sea, same problem. The ramp was covered in algae and the hand brake was on and in park, car started going back into the water, water up to the back door. I jumped in and tried to take off, car sat back wheels spinning for a couple of seconds which was good, got rid of the algae gained grip and I managed to save the car. I feel for you man, I hope you have insurance.

look at the truck. bed of the truck is still up. which would suggest what? I do see the ramp in the background, so it appears the truck drifted a while. truck should be submerged. So something tells me theres no trailer attached to that truck. If it WAS tailgate down, and you had the brakes locked, what possessed you to not start the truck and ya know, drive away from the water? Nothing. There fore, we conclude, Driver Error. Which STILL means, the truck DID NOT have its brakes applied, and WAS NOT in park.

I use my chevy with a manual trans to tow, my e-brake doesnt work, and I STILL don't lose my truck into the lake. I don't make driver error, not when it comes to launching my boat.
