Hi. Yes, lower the tank so the regulator sits abit lower. Also, right out of the box? The tire yoke screw is of the 70's circa. It has the later tire yoke decal. Someone changed it.

The hoses rotted off mine . I sent it to vintage scuba and 100 buck later it was like new.

Where is the j-valve and the pull-down rod?

The reg is too high up. It should be down between your shoulders. Try it, the reg will breath a lot better.

I will, thanks... Actually, it breathed pretty good on the inhale, it was only exhaling that was a little difficult...

We got two in the shop - you can come in and test drive it in the pool for a small fee (we had to replace the hoses on one after its first use and they don't come cheap)...
