@limpidd Pen tool and a basic understanding of depth/shading is all you need to do this. Stuff looks decent, but it's not difficult.

First, very nicely done, i just came here to figure out what vector art actually is and i feel i have a very good idea of it now.

Second, you should really give credit to the artist of the song in the video at the end, i know its under the like bar, but it can still create problems with copyrights. People will do anything for money now a days.

whoever said it was a tutorial? the title says "making". doesn't say "i will help you in making" just says "making" as in "watch me as i am making some vector art." Post 3.

1. Select the paint bucket tool and then click anywhere inside you eye, mouth, hair etc etc and the the shape with be filled with colour. You can select a different colour at any stage to lay down so don't worry.

And thats it!

Now to the second stage. If you want to keep drawing drawing the paths and don't want to keep doing this all seperately... just change the pen tool attributes to 'add to path layer at the top of the page. Any more you need, just message me. Thanks all and GL!

Part2.

1. Select the pen tool - Now draw vector path with pen tool (like the eye for example).

2. Once have done that and have closed the path - right click and select - 'make selection' from fly out menu.

3. Once you have done that, hold down 'Ctrl+Shift+I' This will invert the selection so you only select whats inside the closed path and not everything else on the whole page or workspace.

4. Now go to the Paint Bucket Tool (can be found in the gradient tool icon in your tools palette.

Post 1. Hi everyone, maybe I can explain this tutorial for you all. This is how to do it. NB* Make sure you do the eyes on one layer, face colour on another and hair etc on another layer. This way, you can manipulate each layer as you need to after creating them all.

Lets start:

1. Find a picture you want to use, and then duplicate it so you work in a non-destructive manner (basically you do not destruy the original photo and only work on the copy) - Press Ctrl+J - To duplicate layer.

ok difference between vector and bitmap, you can enlarge vector easily without it being distorted. Bitmap once enlarge it is going to become jagged. flash,illustrator corel draw are all vector graphics editors. Don't listen to these idiots talking about doing vectoring in photoshop.

That guy is stupid... last time i checked, a raster was a raster and a vector was a vector no matter WHAT program it was made in. Vectors are defined by geometry, whereas RASTERS are defined by pixels. The printer can't scale pixels bigger or smaller without a loss in quality, where if it's in a mathematically defined equation (eg bezier curves, ect) it can scale no problem. Look it up before you dog people out MrDefaulto! Anyways Gunderscore, they are bomb, can you post a voice tutorial plz?

THIS IS NOT VECTOR ART! You're using a vector TOOL to make a selection and then filling it with PIXELS! It's still a raster image when you're done. The whole point of vector is that it's clean and infinitely scalable. This isn't.

Please, if you want to do vector art, use Adobe Illustrator or other true vector art programs.

It's AMAZING how many people think they're doing vector art in PHOTOSHOP. PHOTOSHOP DOES NOT DO VECTOR ART!
