What is the recovery time and when can you get back into sports

I'm a 52 yr old female and have a 24 degree C Shape Scoliosis, not the traditional S shape. I have one leg longer than the other (I think it's 1/4 or 1/2 inch?? I forget) which I think makes the scoliosis worse. Would a surgery like this be beneficial to someone like me?

We aren't victims.... we are patients who have scoliosis..... it is amazing the technology that they have come up with, and I am soon having my own surgery to correct my scoliosis......but I'm not a victim I'm a victor

hope one day someone can actually find the actual cure for scoliosis (like an anti biotic), so no one (people of all ages) will have to go through what victims of scoliosis have to go through.
