  • very very nice...send me the tabs..jajaja

  • Very awesome channel,I have enjoyed my listen hear my friend

  • Hey Stove, You're one cool cat, way too cool to "retire" into the sunset, if that's what you planned. You gotta keep posting these great clips, ok? All finger pickers will love these jazzy, syncopated riffs. Love your tunes! Encore!

  • Stovepipe,

Are you a gigging musician? If not, ya sure could be. Great stuff on your channel. Thanks for the playing. :)

    Keith

  • Thanks for the compliment Keith; with only 10 gigs in the last 35 years....I'm quite happy to be a livingroompicker with the Youtube world as my audience.

  • Well, I'm very glad you play for us! I think everyone loves it. Yep, I've gigged 8 times in the last 26 years, so I know how that is. My brother and I went out to eat recently and he asked if I was going to sell my new CD. I laughed and said, "First off, not sure anyone would want it! Secondly, I think music was a gift given freely to me, so I wouldn't feel right making others pay for it." So... here it sits in my house, collecting dust! lol :)

  • @daddystovepipe

All the best muso's stay in their living rooms!!!!

  • @daddystovepipe Do it how you want to do it but always share your playing with others please...it's just so nice to hear you play.......

  • now thats guitar playing, cheers Dave

  • this is more like a jazzy kind of deal..

    good nevertheless

  • Thanks for posting this, I support everything that's been said before. Like Yeractualpatience , I just picked up on the name John James, having also heard him playing solo on the Uni circuit when he was a young man. Technically one of the best players even then but what has stuck with me is his quiet, lyrical style.

    He sung a number:

If you quit me baby, what am I to do-oo-oo now.

What am I to do-oo-oo-oo, if you quit me now.

The tune and his rendition has stuck with me to this day.

  • Just perfection! John James will hear this and will be tempted away from his reclusive lifestyle for a brief period. Like yourself, he is a technically gifted guitarist, entertainer and a thoroughly nice guy. Thanks again.

  • Absolutely superb, Johns daughter has been in touch with me and the good news is he is kinda startin up again!

  • Thanks for posting my vid response. You the man. If you ever come to California, let's jam.

    N8

mr j james, please upload somethiong!!

    ciao tnx again,

  • Great piece. Beautifully played. I often wondered what happened to John James. Saw him a few times back in the early/mid 70s, as a support to John Renbourn, he was awesome even back then.

  • Cela me rappelle un concert de John James à Leuven. Il y a au moins 35 ans

    Que de bons souvenirs.

    Dank U well Daddy

  • perfect as always.... challenging yourself before posting a video

Once heard his soundtrack of pickle&peppers, suitcase like that, really amazing.

  • This is a beautiful composition, executed flawlessly. Thank you for introducing me to a new artist, and as always, it is a pleasure to hear your take on these arrangements. Take care Ami, Israel.

  • great playing 5 ***** I saw John James play a village hall about 8 years ago and he demonstrated the styles of famous guitar players~ a memorable evening!
