  • I was born in the wrong decade, the music of today dosen't hold a candle to the artist of the 70's. Classic Marriott and Frampton.

  • Saw this band at Birmingham Town Hall about 68/69 along with Love Sculptre & a curly haired David Bowie , those were the days when you got value for your ticket money brilliant gig fond memories .

  • is that frampton on vocal??

  • When i think of what music has become today, i feel sick!!!!! Our time is gone...

  • Bought this when it came out in'69, I was 14, still love it today, got it signed by Steve, so lucky.

  • I liked, i loved, .....

  • A musical masterpiece, early Pie and a song about getting executed. Only Steve and the PIe could do this song. This should have half a million listens and here it sets with less than 6000 views. Music is dead for this generation.

  • And if anything parts sound like Tin Soldier from Small Faces. Marriott was so effin brilliant he ripped himself off!!!

  • Zeppelin is my top 5 greatest bands but they ripped Marriott off, as well as everyone else for that matter. EVERYONE ripped Marriott off. The Who, Zep, Faces...The list goes on and on. He was a true genious of an artist, not a business man and people took advantage of him. Steve Marriott is the thread of everyone's musical talent. He could do it all.

  • @konawilson6872 Yes.

  • @konawilson6872 So right!

  • Greg Ridley's bass gets overlooked but It was an integral part of both Humble Pie and Spooky Tooth's 'Sound'...Brilliantly melodic.

  • @kentishbloke Greg Ridley was a great bass player. No one could hold a Humble Pie jam together better than Ridley! RIP Greg Ridley!

  • @Historyguy13 and a helluva singer too man . Ridley had a great rock voice !

  • indeed, the intro is just the same as communication breakdown, only slower

  • ???????

  • sounds like slowed down "communication breakdown" on the intro.

  • @analogueorange i was gonna say the same.....Who do u think came first?

  • Early Humble Pie -- Steve made Peter better; Peter made Steve better. One of Frampton's most brilliant songs (and who's backing him on chorus? :-) and those awesome keyboards? Steve.) One of the most brilliant BANDS ever. They should never have parted. Pure musical brilliance; forty years later -- so FUCKING RARE amid the ocean of crap that's followed. This band was a diamond, a diamond in the dirt.

  • le meilleur album de humble pie!!! et la voix de mariott, innimitable!! thanks for this great sound!!

  • Hi Mate...It's timnlol. got closed down but I'm back. Need some subs lol

  • the guitar at the begining has faint hints of communication breakdown

  • Indeed! What year is this?

  • 1969

  • @clash76 Yeah, it does! Both albums were published the same year, zep's being a little earlier, but I guess we can't know which song was written before.

  • @clash76 Or vice versa or somewhere else....

  • superb! ***** brilliant!

  • "Here I am with my hands bound,in a plane going down fast"...brilliant writing

  • excellent song great posting
