  • Thank you! This helped very much! I never crocheted a tam before, only blankets. I was wondering what brand of yarn u used bc my tam was too tight in the middle I think, and it stuck up :/ But the rest of it was fine.

  • @centeno555 You're welcome! I used red heart for this tam. If your is sticking up it could just be the tension in your work. I use to have that issue it will get better as you grow with your skills.. Love & Light

  • Thank you so much. I had been looking for this a long time and finally made it and I'm so happy with it.

    Thanks!

  • @SFPhoto2011 Your Welcome I would love to see it!

  • Hello, I've been wanting to try crochet for a long time and especially since im newly natural (1 year this past June) I'd like to make my own tams. I have a lot of hair and tams are usually too small or bunch my hair up too much so I'd like to make a bigger one...can you explain how to make a larger size?

  • @Iculukn81 I will try to get it out for you soon..

  • do you have to have a crochet needle to finish it or is there another method? I followed you step by step and my tam seems to be alot bigger than I anticipated i dunno why but it could be because im using bulking yarn weight 5 instead of weight 4. I think you are using weight 4 yarn.

  • @GoGETTER2001 Yes, that is why it came out bigger, I was using 4 not a bulky. I use a crochet needle to finish it it's just like a sewing needle but not sharp you cna get it from any craft store mine I got 3 in a pack for 2.00.
