Meh, all the snipers feel different. L96 and M40 for example may have almost the same stats but they feel totally different. L96 has the advantage of smaller scope and less bullet drop but the scope animation takes longer to reset after a shot and you need to train yourself to target with laser if you want to get the most out of it.

Idk what DICE was thinking when they were making these weapon stats. I remember in BC2 where all the snipers felt different and using each one had its advantages and disadvantages. And when the recon kit was a kit that was just as powerful as the other kits. But they nerfed it wayyy to much and dumbed down all the weapon stats to be EXTREMELY similar. If they changed that then I'd probably feel a difference when sniping with the SV98 rather then the L96 or M40A5

Kind of silly that sniper rifles are not capable of OHK unless to the head, especially bolt-action rifles....the L96 in particular is an extremely powerful marksman rifle and it should have a much larger OHK zone

But as far as I know, the OHK zone for sniper rifles will now only be expanded to the upper chest, and only at close range. There could be more to this, but according to the patch notes I read, this is about it. Still good, but I want more!

@RepaleoN In those situations they see you anyways. Snipers and others will wait for you to turn around, not look somewhere else. and then quickly turn around to you and zoom in. it does give you a chance to hit first tho :)

Then the taclight might be the little bit that prevents a not skilled sniper from getting the headshot on you :) That#s what I mean. For example in Metro in the subway, on around 20 to 30m distance.

@Mallowhouse with the acog scope it is extremely easy to take out people in close range, "quickscoping" in your minds, and it doesnt have that much sway, very tiny sway if any at all, and it comes with a ballistic rangefinder so you can tell how far in hundreds of meters the bullet will drop, with no sway you don't need a bipod, and a straight pull helps in close quarters with the follow up shot. all shots are close range in battlefield, any point where you are taking a shot...

@MasterChief2627 Im one of the best snipers on ps3, all you have to do to get better is practice practice practice. A few tips would be to never go prone, it makes it very easy to kill you, pick your shots wisely, dont just randomly shoot if your off target, what else, put yourself in a spot where only your head is exposed so that whoever is shooting you has a small target to hit.

Apparently you forgot about the faglight nerf. It becomes smaller than scope glint at only 20-25m.

Use flash suppressor on the L96. No annoying flash, only puffs of smoke.

u should try the 12-times-scope! in my oppinion it is very hard to shoot enemies in the head on long distances using the 8-times-scope with this rifle, because of the very low bulletdrop.
