It does not use iboy to play either, it uses rockboy. Even though i have the same iboy folder configuration you have.

well its better to do with an ipod thats old like the 1st gen nano...cuz then if u dont use u can just put it on...

There is no risk. If it goes wrong, just do a restore from Itunes, and the Ipod is back to factory defaults. No trace of Rockbox at all.

The guarantee doesn't even come into it. Any Ipods capable of running Rockbox are well out of guarantee anyway. Most recent been the 5th generation Video and 1st generation Nano. Both of which are now more than 2 years old.

To me the benefits of Rockbox are many, like FLAC and Vorbis audio, custom graphic eq, many games, no need for Itunes to load the Ipod.

u have 2 restart ur ipod again so u can go 2 rockbox mode.....and if u want 2 go back 2 normal....u have 2 reset it and have it on hold

how do you switch between the two? do you have to plug it into your computer each time? or can you somehow switch between the two directly on your ipod?

to switch between them you need to reset your ipod by holding menu and select and then switch the hold button to on to boot the ipod to the regular software or leave the hold button off to boot onto rock box.

its funny how you install iBoy, but then use rockboy as your emulator.

for future reference, you don't need all those iBoy files on there if you're going to play the games through the rockbox's gameboy emulator. All you need are the ROM's.

When I drag .rockbox to my IPOD folder, it wouldn't download the entire folder into it. But I can still play games with Rockbox on my Ipod.

And when I center+hold to go back to my Apple screen, it goes to Recovery Disk Mode.
