  • @jrox007

WTF??? y do u assume girls would need a wider slackline than guys??? I know plenty of girls (including myself) who can do just fine on a 1" slackline and have never even touched a 2" one in their lives. Just cuz it LOOKS like it would b easier doesn't mean it is or tht only girls can use it u sexist.

  • and how is the treeware!!

  • I have a towstrap in my trunk I should try this with....

  • Is this a trick slackline or is it used for beginners?

  • @Squishy31097 there's actually no such thing as a "trick" slackline. while some may be better designed for it than others, i do plenty of tricks on my one inch wide climbing webbing that i got for 37 cents a foot. no need to spend mad money

  • if you would use tree protection, it would be a useful video

  • Please help! I tightened the ratchet too many times and over threaded it, and now I can't get it apart...

  • ich wie man slackline aufbaut thank you very much

  • geiles video danke jetzt weiss

  • Amazing who though gibbon could be so easy everything else makes no sence what so ever

  • for all you people who say that the line is too wide: Gibbon slacklines are mostly meant for tricks and with a two inch beginners can learn easier and pros like andy lewis can do their tricks as well. Mine is coming in the mail tomorrow.

  • Trees need helpppppppppppppppp

    Use Protections please

  • Got mine today it's amazing

  • mine is coming in 2 days time i am so exicted, it looks so easy to setup!!

  • very good job can't wait to get started making one

  • we are talking about 2,5 full revolutions of the coil :)

  • 0:39 it says a max of 2.5 times to do that...um thats like 7.5 ?????

  • who seen that guy trying to copy this video and just gibbon in general? what a cheeky shit ey?

  • i feel like the 2" line is too easy to walk on... i prefer the 1" myself :)

  • i dont know who this "rockreiter06" kid thinks he is..

but you know what, he is ABSOLUTELY right

  • Here a few basic rules:

    * The thicker and the ruffer the barq the better the tree for slacklining.!

    * Do NOT use Beeches! Their barq is so thin and soft there is no protective system whatsoever on the market that would help.

*Look for hard wood trees.. if you´re not sure check Wikipedia.

*Don´t put all trees into one pot!

An avalanche tracker doesn´t prevent you from getting stuck in an avalanche. Neither it is a guarantee for safe rescue.

    Peace!

  • He didn't protect the tree. Bad, bad, bad.

  • That tree is a birch. The barq on that specimen is very thick and hard. With the wide line and a tree like that it´s not really that harmful. I´ve been using the tree heaps over the last 3,5 years and it shows no sign what so ever. Far more important than any tree protection: KNOW YOUR TREES!

  • I see nothing wrong with a wide slackline, its quicker and easier to set up if your just out in the park with your mates, and its a good starting foundation for anyone to try.

Anyone who thinks that they are being funny or think less of people who try them have no consept of the true reason to slackline. If the line is off the ground no matter how wide, thin, or high... you are slacklining.

  • holy crap that slackline is so wide... it's for girls only?

  • i just got mine yesterday!! they are awesome

  • "SLACK LINE !!!!" :- A length of static rope, ( static meaning it has no dynamic properties,it doesn't stretch ) tied between two fixed points. It is left to hang "SLACK" If it touches the ground when loaded, then you simply move lift it by smply moveing the knot on iether end. You dont pull it tighter because it's a "SLACK LINE"

    MORON !!!!

  • Keep it up! You MUST correct these idiots! How DARE anyone call this a "slack" line! Damn them all!!! Have you commented every video on youtube? You are the moron.

  • rockstarnomad.... regardless it is called slacklining I don't see you bitching about the fact that you don't use your feet in football or that you drive on a parkway. Tightrope walking and slacklining are completely different learn your shit

  • Sorry to inform you but you should get out more. The whole world plays football with thier feet 201 teams will play in the next word cup. Americans will play a game with thier hands, call it football, and even have thier very own word cup, that only Americans play. American football world cup entered by only one country America. .They have baseball, another world series, just for Americans. Tightrope walking, slacklining, and dynamic lining are completely different. Eat shit Mr

  • Guys don´t be so tight about all this. We are all having fun and nobody questions short boarders, carpets, big wave riders whether it´s surfing.

    chill dudes.

it´s all slacklining and some lines are good for tricks, some are good for longlining and highlining and some are good for beginners. Who has there the right to declare something as wrong? or legitimate? Cmon guys let´s celebrate this sport so that other people understand what this is about: FUN! and not what is wrong or right! Peace

  • Go rockstar, go rockstar, go! I've heard of this alleged "slackline". I believe it is a hugely popular sport in Bosnia, where, on 100 ft+ lines, people use specially designed rollerskates to travel down the line from the starting anchor, and then jumars to jug their way back up. Too bad all these nouveau faux-"slackliners" are hijacking a pre-existing and perfectly legitimate sport.

  • dude what the hell are you talking about? its a slackline, get over it

  • "DYNAMIC LINE" :- A length of "Dynamic" cord or tape tied between two fixed points, then pulled tight enough to remain above the ground when loaded ( that is,someone standing on it. If it does touch then more "tension" has to be applied.

  • IF this is a slack line my dick is a kipper. I have spent hours trawling through youtube and can't find one single slack line. Slack by definition means "Without Tension"

  • if it has no tension you would end up with your feet on the ground, moron!

  • "TIGHT ROPE" :- A length of rope or cable fixed between two fixed points. Then pulled so tight it becomes rigid. Tight rope walkers normaly walk with a balance pole.

  • Your brain is slack. Oh sorry, that can't make any sense, since that would mean (with 100% certainty) that I meant to say that your brain was "without tension." What I meant to say was that you are an idiot with nothing better to do then to try and teach people the meaning of the word slack.

  • Gibbon slacklines are just stupid-.-

    a normal slackline is 2,5 - 3,5 cm wide.

    and the material is cheap

  • Got a Gibbon - doesn't make me better on the line ^^

  • That is a wide slackline.. it's almost like cheating

  • the best is Gibbon-slackline yesssss

  • ive never seen a 2 inch wide version of a slackline before, that seems like it would be better for begginners
