  • kids looks fine to me

  • i say don't sweat it. kids probably do better w/out drugs and shrinks unless it is blatantly obvious they need special help. Keep them off sugar and processed garbage foods and for God's sake don't get them vaccinated.

  • I have read in different articles that television viewing for infants and toddlers can lead to autism and other disorders like ADD. I haven't tried to verify this information or validate the studies because I already believe personally that babies and toddlers should not be exposed to television, but I wanted to pass along the info incase it might lead someone else to research it and help their child.

  • Ashfaiz I'm with you my 24mnth kid is doing the same

  • How is he doing now?

  • to tell you the truth i dont see noting wrong with hem

  • @liziya86 children with autism often don't respond to their name being called, and he never does, according to this video.

  • To all of the parents who think their kid might have autism: Have them checked out by a competent pediatrician ASAP. The earlier therapy starts the better the outcome.

  • @SuuupaSugoi Absolutely!!!

  • when he wants something he'll just go "ah ah ah " and stare at it. Also, when we call his name when he is watching tv or playing something he totally ignores us and again im not sure if thats our fault. He does tip toe sometimes and he bangs his head when he gets mad. Did ur son show any head-banging at 20 months? We are so confused and seriously thinking of getting him diagnosed soon just to gain some reassurance of what is really going on. Please reply asap, thank you and God Bless!

  • @ashfaiz1925 My son is not self-injurious. When he gets mad or frustrated he lashes out at others, head-butting, hitting, pinching, biting, scratching. If you have ANY questions, for your peace of mind, have him evaluated. I truly believe early intervention is the key!

  • Hello, your son is so adorable by the Grace of God. My husband and I have been having some concerns lately based on our 20 month old's behavior. We are not sure if its lack of our effort to trying to teach him to advance in developing skills or if it is because of autism that he is not pointing to things asking for them by words

  • What suspicions did you have that he might have autism? My wife gets upset with me when I ask her if we can have our 2 year old diagnosed. I just worry for him and want to get him treatment right away if he does have autism. Hope all is well and Ethan seems like a very wonderful boy. Godspeed!

  • @RoRo976 My concerns with Ethan Started probably around 18 months with him not saying any words at all, he didn't point for anything, didn't interact with us at all, didn't try to get our attention, poor eye contact-didn't try to communicate in any way at all. He would pace back and forth or wander around the house aimlessly. He was only interested in cars and and things that rolled, he would just sit and spin the wheels.

He just completed 3 months of ABA and has gained 12 months of skills!!

  • @ethansmommy0309 very good to know ethan is doing well. i don't know if my son is exhibiting symptoms or if i'm over-reacting. my wife and i definitely need to sit down and talk about taking him to get diagnosed just to make sure. thanks so much and God bless you and your beautiful family!

  • He's so cute! You did well to get him diagnosed so early. The problem is that before 24 months old, it's difficult to rule out hearing issues when an autistic child doesn't respond to their name, so it can be difficult to know for sure what the issue is before then. But like I said, he's sooo cute! Bless him.

  • My 2 yr old was just diagnosed to early aba starts this week I'm sad and feel guilty my 4 yr old will feel left out :(... Life's so hard sometimes

  • HI.. Sorry on the diagnosis.. I don't see any visible autism behavior on Ethan? Is there anything that specific in the video on Ethan's behavior that points to the autism behavior?

I am in the same boat as you are and trying to see if my son has it.

    Thanks and Good luck!

  • Aw he's really sweet! I used to completely ignore my Mum too when I was that age. I've got Aspergers diagnosis now.

  • He is so cute. Have you put him in early intervention?

  • @waiting4your Ethan was diagnosed with "mild" autism on March 2, 2011. He started Early On services in April, two hours a week of combined therapies (speech, occupational, physical and time with a teacher) as well as additional occupational and speech therapy. On September19th he started an intensive ABA program 3 hours a day five days a week where I stay with him and am taught the principles of ABA so we can carry on at home with these learning strategies.

  • @waiting4your He is doing really well in the program. He is engaging and using gestures and some words to communicate. He has come soooooo far already, I just know he's going to be just fine!!

  • @ethansmommy0309

Glad to know his progress, I am sure by the time he goes to school he will just be a normal kid, My son is qualified for early intervention therapies, we will be starting his therapy this month. Then we are seeing a developmental specialist in December. We are working hard to interact with him. He doesnt respond to name or wave bye etc. We were devastated after the evaluation, But now I see there is a hope and we will do whatever it takes

  • Don't fret! Autism will hardly be a setback for this little tyke. I bet he can be the next Christian Weston Chandler.

  • @TheDullahan Yessss, there must be a successor, the internet demands it...

  • ok this baby is way too cute!

  • He is so adorable. God bless him.
