I've heard the reason a lot of towers have RW&B sallies is becuase they're cheaper, as rope makers can make a BW&B sally if they have nothing else to do. It's mass production. Shame, as varied sally colours are always nice.

I don't think the ones here are that bad. I've also been to some 8-bell towers where every sally is a different colour. I think green with a white stripe would look nice!

I have never seen sallies in real life. So I wouldn't know how they are supposed to be. But If I could choose, I would ofcourse choose White and Yellow, the papel coulours. LD

I like the sallies, I hate the RW&B ones that every tower seems to have. On in worcester has orange and double royal blue. Not nice.

Solid colors look the best I think, solid green is nice.

yes, I used to have blue, white and red sallies and got a new set of blue white and black. Very similar to these. There much better and look alot fresher and crisp!!! lol

Me too! I wish towers would be more adventurous with sally colours! My home tower has Purple, Gold and Wine Sallies. If you had all white sallies then wouldnt they would probably turn into a yellowy sort of colour. And if people rang peals on the bells and got cuts on theirhands you may then have red and white sallies?

That's because there's a columbarium with wall niches inside.That's where a deceased person's cremated remains(cremains)are placed if the family doesn't bury in-ground,bury at sea,or just keep 'em at home.

Hello, this is a set of change ringing bells in a modern tower in the USA, Charleston South Carolina. Change Ringing spread to a few churches in the USA from England. They are ringing Grandsire Caters (the man shouted " Go Grandsire!") I had this video on my computer too.
