  • And if you erase the file, does it go away?

  • I used to do this glitch on the gameboy version of this game. I loved seeing all of the wacky things that would happen.

  • iamgne having to actually do it

  • I finally achieved the crashing effect on the SNES. Turns out I couldn't do it before because I was running along the bottom of the screen, and you have to be running along the top half at least. Everything became multicolored and faded out and I could hear the "swirl" effect that Link's sword made when it shot beams, I heard that twice and then a splash. Kool, y'all. But someone told me something about the Dark Palace being able to do it on SNES in some confusing way that I'm testing out.

  • The Exploration Glitch makes a comeback on the GBA!

  • I'd love to know exactly what's going on in the game's memory that makes it flip out.

  • It's kind of funny seeing this kinda glitch like that, it's as if all of the dungeons are actually just stitched together.

  • If that was me I would be pissed!

  • y?????

  • Legend of Zelda: The Minus World

  • ...and remain in the Light World till you shift screens! You can do the Dungeon/Palace thing the opposite way too, to end up in the Village of Castaways with the Light World music playing but you can't use the Flute.

  • Everyone try this on SNES version: Do Mirror Jump glitch in Thieves' District, then go up one screen, left two and you're in Eastern Palace. Go to the third room to jump out and you can exit Eastern Palace. Dark World music plays and you're in the Light World. Now change screens and you change to Dark World! The layout mostly still looks Light-Worldish, but using the map fixes this about halfway. Also, when you're exiting Eastern Palace, you can use the Flute to go any of the 9 screens...

  • I'm playing this game on Vizzed Emulator, I had 2 movies recorded. I crashed with the underground glitch and tried loading a movie to get back my old save state that disappeared, but the movie was totally corrupted and I was entering and exiting the map and running around like an idiot and attacking nothing, stepping all over switches, so my movie got corrupted too I think...lolz

  • wow it worked! but i'm geting weird results. i'd post a video but i don't know how to record my ds. i'm not useing a camera.

  • @GlitchShark what kind of weird results?

  • You shouldn't have done that.

  • I just figured something out. You know when Link is all messy-looking after you save and quit on this glitch and other people look all multicolored too? If, in the normal world, not cursed, you use the Ether Medallion, you can see Link and all the other people who will be changed by the Reset Curse flash in a weird way. Anyone who will not be changed by the Curse remains normal while the Ether is used.

  • @Aaron1046

i dont know if im actually right but the glitch makes you go in mid-air . so my guess would be that when he jumps, you ear link do a sound, and the game tinks hes down but he used the miror to go back up. so the gme tinks hes down and he sprint into the wall so he get air and here you go, hes not up but not down. (i hope u understand... :))

  • Dude this is a Bug way more Dangerous than a Glitch....!

  • What makes this glitch happen?

    Why does it happen?

  • @Aaron1046 More understandably, I think when you're in midair, the game is caught half between thinking you're on the lower level and upper level. I tried it on SNES and it doesn't work that way, instead Link inches up the screen and then freezes after a while. If no enemy hits him to unfreeze him, he stays frozen and you have to reset the game. He moves the same way when he's a bunny in Dark World (Or Light World with Reality Overlap) and he walks vertically into deep water with the flippers.

  • @Aaron1046 And as far as I know, the two best places and probably the only places you can do it is in the Eastern Palace third room (Eastern Palace is second best place) and first best place is in the Thieves' District. I think I tried it somewhere else like the Skeleton City dungeon or the Dark Dungeon or something but it took up lots of time.

  • @trailboss95 lol i wanted to know, why does standing in that spot make everything go glitchy like this :P

  • @Aaron1046 what spot? Are you talking about the one that makes everything go crazy in the game in this video? If so, that's not standing. The game just freezes you for a few seconds before it activates the glitch.

  • @trailboss95 well thats what I meant but..

dono how else I can explain what Im trying to ask .

    what makes the glitch

  • @Aaron1046 It's because of millions of scrambled codes in that room, I think. If you play the SNES version, there are no empty rooms like that, just unused room squares, and that room won't trigger the glitch. Someone on this page said it took a different dungeon to make it work, and you end up in Light World outside Hyrule Castle with some Dark World enemies.

  • @kingjos36 The rupees stop after a few minutes.

  • First time I did this glitch, I didn't know how and I tried a long time to do it again. Then I saw this video. P.S. The Hearts can be fixed. Just beat all 3 Palaces again and you get the Heart Containers, and after you get the first one, they become normal again. 1/2 Heart taking enemies now take a full Heart, if they took 1 Heart or higher, they will now only take a half heart.

  • Why/ how dose this happen o.o

    i dont get it XD

  • Legend of Zelda A glitch to the past

  • LMAO

  • I think Link may have taken a bite out of the mushroom in the lost woods.

  • @TheKohjix The game said it was rotten but noo he just didn't listen did he?

  • ok how on earth are u pulling off the Curse glitch cause I am trying to get that and it is not letting me

  • @DekrosnaArcana Wait, how do you do it on SNES?

Are you the guy who told me about the Palace of Darkness trick? Kuz if it's supposed to bring me underground, it's not...I don't know how to do the glitch on SNES.

  • this glitch works in the snes version as well, but not in this dungeon and it's executed a bit differently. However it has the same effects and when you do it right you will end up outside of hyrule castle with dark world music and some dark world monsters

  • @Son23 I knew it!! Somehow I figured it just HAD to work on SNES. I don't know why, I just had a strong feeling.

  • @trailboss95 if I can buy a HDMi cable for my wii, I can record it, as well as another glitch not many people know of.

I discovered things when I get bored...I hope that I am the only one who knows of these. If not, I will be upset. DX

  • @Son23

Wii doesn't have HDMI support unless it's a Wii HDMI upscaler.

  • @Greenalink yes it does.

look on gamestop for Wii Component Cable (since it won't let me post a link), it's made by nintendo. my brother just bought it today and it works fine. Not amazing, but makes it look good. Plus I have a blitzboxHD and it won't work with the standard cables.

  • @Son23 By now I just spend all my time on that game using glitches to beat it. I've gotten really far with Reality Overlap.

  • @Son23 How do you do it on SNES? I can't get it to work. The room it happens in isn't empty, and has no effects when you run through it. Can you tell me how to do it on SNES?

  • @trailboss95

You do it in the first dungeon. You go to the 2nd screen and push a statue on the right. as soon as he starts pushing it, use the mirror to warp to the beginning. Once you do that grab and hold the button that grabs things. you will see link holding thin air, then pull back. he will go down past the entrance and disappear. wait until he reappears at the top of the screen. let him pull until you get until about mid screen then let go. it gets detailed after that, so experiment.

  • @Son23 Thanks!

  • @Son23 I tried it on GBA and it works, but on SNES he just goes out the door like normal. Dang it. Maybe it won't work for me after all.

  • @Son23 You know, I also was in the Rise of Hera, the palace thing on the mountain, and I did something I can't remember, maybe a moonwalk thing, but it made it so when I warped back to the beginning, I'd teleport to and then get stuck in the center of the screen and at first I'd then warp to the next screen up, but the game scrolled as if it were a seperate screen but it's not. XD then that next-screen thing stopped. Moving at all when I'd teleport to the entrance, swinging sword or anything,...

  • @Son23 caused it. If I moved just a tiny bit after getting to the entrance, I'd disappear in the entrance door then reappear in the center after moving more. Freaky! If I remember what it is I did, I'll tell you. I don't think it was something that can be executed on GBA, though.

  • @trailboss95 I'm sorry, the first dungeon in the dark world

  • the game.

    you just lost it.

  • You CAN do this on a SNES.

At least a n European one.

  • WHAT THE FLYING FUCK?

    O.O

  • Link got a debt LOL

  • 1:26 Link - I don't think using my mirror was such a good idea...

  • Dang, you got a lot of rupees.

  • @ultradinosaur123 Actually it just keeps resetting from 999, and the first 9 changes into a 8X8 piece of an item several times. Eventually it ends and you have a low number of Rupees.

  • holy fuck

  • God, Link is fucking Rich :p

  • @Dibrome Sorry, not really...see my reply to the Ultradinosnore 123 guy.

  • lmfao@IRS comment that was a good man..

  • nobody is in the village when i did the glitch

  • Lol, what an annoying Glitch ^^

  • Comment removed

  • @ARTESTRELLA You got serious problems, pal.

  • I wonder how this affects the coding in the game that could cause it to become all corrupt. I've levitated outside of the maps in loz oot using project 64 but all you do is die.

  • poor link

  • loz a glich to the past

  • Titan mitt is an item, and the rupees are constantly drained, even past zero! Apparently, the game can't read below 0, so the first number is an 8x8 tile of one of the items...

  • @HyperShadow32 Yup the Mitt is the Fire Rod.

  • Goodbye, Rupees :(

  • @LMDS95 It's only temporary. Stops running out after abot 5 minutes and then the Rupees act normal.

  • @trailboss95 Yeah, but they're still being stolen :3

  • @LMDS95 Link: Duh my rouwpeez ar disapereng wats up wit dat?!!?!!??!!

  • Wow, that's strange, a very strange glitch indeed, I can't figure out what in the code might cause the game to behave in such a way, I kinda want the GBA version just to test it out. It would be hillarious to do this to someones save game (After making a copy of it of course).

  • @HighTreason610 The way this works is, the game thinks that you are on the lower floor, because it says that link jumped, but by using the Mirror, you are back on the second. Then by using pegasus boots on the wall, you are knocked back and you fall, but now into the floor. The reason for all the dungeons are that all the dungeons are not actually on the map, they are a created right next to each other, allowing you to go to all of them.

  • @Valoncieu Yeah and when you go in them but don't exit them, the game thinks you're still in the first one. Entering a Dungeon in one world and exiting a different one in the other world brings up a reality overlap glitch.

  • u ownnnnnnnnnnnz lol i did a run of cursed run glitch work but it is hard like me 3 heart quest with all crystal and item did it but relly hard...

  • lol. you founded the magic armor but it drains your rupees and reduce your hearts to one. good for 1 heart speed run, yes?

  • @killer11192 If you beat the palaces you get 4.5 hearts after finishing. I'll try beating Dungeons too.

  • @killer11192 It's got a weakness, though-thieves can also steal a whole heart from you as well!!! If it's your last heart, then you can't pick up the stuff you dropped kuz you die.

  • Interesting. Very interesting.

  • hey how to stop the glitch!!!!????????

  • Do not save the game, turn it off and turn it back on. If you did save the game then you can't cure 'Cursed Link' so the only solution is to erase the file and start a new quest.

  • i admire your videos budy

  • as link goes about his adventure, he is slowly losing all 1 gazillion rupees from a hole in his rupee satchel. lol!

  • if you save the game before you do the glitch and then turn it off without saving again after you do it, will the game be normal?

  • @KingDodongo1 Yup. It only affects that one save file.

  • I discovered a less serious version of this glitch. What you do [before you enter the Dark World, in Karakiko Village] is contact the ladyon the left who calls the soldier, wait for the soldier to enter the screen, and visit the other lady. I've had two outcomes of this gltich.

  • @ShadowOcean I did that, don't know why you say it's a less serious version of Mirror Reset Curse kuz it doesn't seem to have anything to do with that... But it was funny, she ran away like normal, into a stone block outside her yard and disappeared. The block piece became a door you couldn't enter, and her real door stayed unlocked.

Heylp itz Link!! Run run runrunrunrunrunAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! RUNRUNRUN--SMAK, THUMP.

  • @ShadowOcean What happens when you do that? I tried it on both SNES and GBA versions and it won't do anything.

  • 1:12 wtf???

  • how to stop the glitch

  • I just attempted this on my SNES copy of LTTP. You have to time it just right; otherwise, it doesn't work. (The SNES version normally prevents using the mirror when jumping)

When it does work, Link will warp back to the entrance, and then slowly crawl up the screen by himself (you can't control him). He'll eventually get stuck, and you'll have to reset the game. Weird.

  • @Teraforce88 It is actually show in his gba snes changes that it only works in the gba version cuz of the new coding

  • @Teraforce88 Maybe you should try not facing north when you do it. A Strategywiki page of glitches for this game mentions that. Or on SNES (not GBA, doesn't work in that version) you can try jumping, pause while Link is in the air, save and quit. Dash into the wall and he goes underground.

  • @Teraforce88 I did it, I tried that. If an enemy hits him while he's crawling along, he unfreezes. He can 'crawl' the same way like this if you are a bunny in the dark world, have the flippers, find deep water you can walk directly into like the water below the bomb shop. If you enter the water horizontally, you'll be able to tap your way through, and control yourself, but you start crawling if you enter the water vertically.

  • @Teraforce88 Yep, I was right. On SNES when you do the mirror jump, jump south instead of north. Instead of crawling up the screen link crawls down and exits the dungeon and he crawls away from the entrance, stops, and you can control him again, go back in the dungeon and you can activate the glitch. But if you have no shield, Link will keep crawling downward after leaving the dungeon, sometimes resulting in getting stuck.

  • I did that same glitch at the same place and went thru the entire 4 swords dungeon. The 4 copy Links R HARD!!!

  • i did it and now im trying to do the game in glitch mode or whatewer u want to call it

  • "You're broke, ey?"

Lol, well, Link has atleast minus 700 rupees at that moment and still getting more broke :P

  • Link got high and lost his money!

  • lol your real name is Jordan lol

  • You see, this is why you don't buy things that cost infinity-plus-one rupees.

  • I'm gonna go try this now thanks!

  • How did you get all that equipment?

  • @SeanHolt All part of the glitch, my friend.

  • Huh... the hurricane spin side-effect... any clue what that was about? is there any normal way to get that in the game, or is it only activated by the glitch?

  • Yes there is a normal way to get it but it requires playing the Four Swords Multi-player only game. 2 GBAs, 1 Link cable, 2 ALTTP copies and 10 Triforce medals on the file you want to have the Hurricaine spin move learnt.

  • Thank you! I wonder why this glitch made that happen *shrugs*

  • @Greenalink Oh, man! I was going to say that, but i sold my copy of that same game to gamestop, almost a year GO.

  • sweet thanks. i got a question, what is the question mark for on the item menu??? Anyone???

  • @PeronMiles It's normal, just means there's nothing there like in a Dungeon.

  • umm hey ill buy ur game pak with that player on it!umm $150?

  • umm can you help me.... i have the gba version and everything but when i jump i just keep goin even when i press a and use the mirror i've tries it about 200 times but no luck AT ALL i dont know how you people do it i guess your just awesome

  • There's a particular moment that you have to activate the mirror. you know you've done it right if you heard him make his "jump" noise before you warp back to the entrance.

  • @runescape9087 Doesn't matter, takes a while. Just remember, if you didn't, to press A before he actually jumps, but when he ust begins to. It wil look kinda like he's sitting.

  • @runescape9087 Actually the sitting position only happens sometimes...it looks different many times. Sometimes he appears to begin a jump, otherwise he seems to sit...well, who cares about that anyway though.

  • @runescape9087 Well I can't explain it not working, but maybe if you try somewhere else?...Sorry man I'm usually of good assistance on pages like this but I can't seem to figure this one out.

  • well they say every game has at least one way to turn into dark link. mission acomplished here =)

  • I have 3 virus links :D

  • @GrimOmen123 I kept making files with normal Link using Reality Overlap to get far into the game and I kept accidentally saving curses on those files!!!!!

  • humh...me again greenalink u got the hurricane spin but can u do the little riddle quest? if u cant tell me how to get with without doing 10 gold on foursword thx...

  • There isn't a way to activate the Riddle Game without playing Four Swords (and getting the 10 Gold medals).

Remember I've got the Riddle quest videos on my channel if you're stuck.

  • This works with gameshark too.

I tried it and it worked on GBA.

  • u can do the glitch udeg witgha simple needle pick the needle on the dow button and press up :p

  • @99prayer2god HA! I tried that just now on my GBA in Hyrule Castle. Link was walking to the left, facing right! I dont think I'll do that with a needle again kuz the sharpness could mess up the control pad, but I'll find something softer. Anyway, I used to think it would just tap a pad like on computer chips and stuff I've seen, like you just touch it and it activates like a pressure pad or something, but instead the button clicked when the needle poked it, like when you tap the button normally.

  • @99prayer2god When I did it, I was in the purple area of the castle, I was in the room with the blue soldier and the boomerang chest, and I moonwalked out of there. I went to the left while facing right. I then scrolled right, and was on the left side of the big pit room, but it was either the Dummy or Clone I saw because he was on a wall, but falling repeatedly and he died. This is funny and I had my doubts kuz of that pressure-pad stuff but it worked so well I couldn't help but realize it. XD

  • So if you save the game and get hit by a enemy,

do you die or do you just get repelled back?

  • It depends on what enemy it is. After being cursed you can't kill yourself with your own bombs nor the Gildo will even damage you..

  • What emulator would be a good use for this glitch?

    I only have Visualboyadvance.

  • The are some special Re-Record VBAs emulators that should enable Up+Down input to work from the TASvideos forums.

You can do it on the real GBA game too not just the emulator.

  • What would be a good emulator that has Up+Down in it? I only have ZSNES,The Up+Down emulator.

If you have the link to one,can you give me the link?

  • SNES9X is better, but you do know that this gltich doesn't work on the SNES, as it has a different effect which basically crashes the game.

  • @Greenalink Hey Jordan, how do you do the glitch crash thing on SNES? Not only does the crash make it not work but I tried it on SNES and it did nothing at all.

  • @trailboss95

See A Link to the Past Changes from SNES to GBA Part 3 @ 5:07 of the video

  • @VMKCheat I'm using Vizzed emulator. It might be good since it can slow the game down and give you better timing.

  • question ....well the glitch can make u to have great spin i did it but well i cant make the game normal.....

  • @Greenalink Yeah but when bombing yourself, Link flashes as if he did get hurt. If you wanna perform the Underground glitch while Cursed Link, do the mirror jump part, then bomb yourself or get hit by an enemy to go under the floor. The bombs are now 127 maximum.

  • @VMKCheat The Hearts are all messed up. Any enemy that used to take 2 Hearts will no longer hurt you.

  • This happened to me on accident yesterday when I was crawling around down there.

  • you fucked that up good

  • the dungeons all seem to be on one separate overworld... someone should make a map or layout of where the dungeons are placed.

  • Oh crap, I think Link just divided by zero.

  • thats an uber wtf right there...

  • I heard about this one.

  • lol this is awsome

  • i oncegot into that room where it takes ur money and life and i some how got out without using the miror in the snes version........ idk how... wierd! and i used the reset under ground glitch

  • @clayd7 I tried getting out of that room by being at the very top of the screen in GBA when the glitch was activated. I touched the top of the screen, then the screen turned negative and the game froze. The music kept playing.

  • i was at ganans casal retatrat why did it you tell us you could not chanage back

  • And that is why you should always read the description.

  • i can not fix it

  • never mind i think

  • hey it is not working any sajestions

  • I LOVE THIS GLITCH!!

  • Will this work on visualboyadvance?

  • yea most likely since its just a rom of the gba version.

  • Im trying to do this on the Pyramid to get into the POTFS. But I can't do it! I did it once in Thieves town.

  • @ZeldaMusicArchiveZMA Do you mean you're trying to do it outside? Inside and outside areas have different effects. Performing the glitch inside will make it show no outside areas while you walk around underground, and vice versa.

  • @ZeldaMusicArchiveZMA And doing mirror jump outside will not make Link disappear underground; to do that outside, you have to do the mirror jump inside, then go out and dash into a wall. Mirror jumping outside at the right time--before he jumps at all--will make the game stop scrolling down. It's cool, you should try that; go to dark world and do mirror jump on a ledge. You can do it from Light World too, just much harder to time it...but now the screens act all weird and you can see Dummy Link.

  • the new link looks cooler :D

  • @thedirtydiper Yeah, and you can half fix him too. To get a normal shield to replace those pixels, buy a new one in the Dark World shield shop. All three are displayed there. The sword can be fixed by throwing it into the Waterfall of Wishing fairy pond, then it becomes a Piece of Heart you receive and the sword disappears. Go to the swordsmiths and they'll "take the sword", temper it, then give it back. You get the normal Tempered Sword, and you can push away enemies with the Charged Swing now.

  • Haha, that's awesome. Just all of a sudden all the numbers start going crazy, random sound effects start playing, a siren goes off... like something out of the movies. :-p

  • smoke a j, ciggs suck

  • THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!!

    X

  • Can Link ever die? His meter seems to be almost empty during the glitch.

  • he does die

  • @Artix3000 Yes, but some enemies can't hurt hi now.

  • Is Ti Dangerous To To This?

  • a bit bc all your data from your game is mix up and you cant pic thing up or do much any thing but there are some cool things but do it on a other file

  • it wont work do you need to have the samew things

  • no.

It doesn't have the same effect as the SNES.

  • I've done that before a few times by accident. once (havent played it in a long time" the mountain one with all the lava i think. i passes through the wall and tehre was a door to a boss room, i would go back through the wall to the previous room and then back over to this boss room again and then the tileset would change. the little rug changed to like a different monster patterent and the entraced chaged to. suc has it would go from forest tileset to fire to ice

  • @wyattfilms Doesn't do that on my GBA version.

  • yo lo hacia entrando de espaldas en las puertas

  • @jepnbeastone What gates?

  • wut up with the item select?

  • @aerosmithsk8r Some still work fine, but don't go to the waterfall fairy to correct their images. It works, but every time you throw an item in, another one disappears forever, except throwing the shovel in, kuz you lose the flute but can dig it back up.
