Yet that argument does not invalidate Democracy itself. It doesn't mean that the concept of voting is fallacious, it just means that our voting system is completely compromised in this corrupt system.

Come to think of it, Russian business's are buying back their own stocks because they believe them to be undervalued. With the economy tanking, industry will be the only thing to survive. So it seems like the "gold rush" is just a way to get your money so they can buy cheap, passing the hot potato onto fools.

It is something to think about. For instance, precious metal owners could want to sell their metals(even for loses) to get money to buy/buy into industries because thats where the money will be, while if the monetary system survives, metals will be worthless.

Most progressives favor ending the fed, as do several third parties around the country (besides Libertarians).

Just curious - How do you "take gold back" from the private bankers when your political ideology is based off 'non-aggression' (where "taking" anyone else's property is considered theft)???

I'm a RP supporter but I thought your video had some points. However, a return to the gold standard in today's world wouldn't involve actual gold/silver. We have the technology to denominate wages/checking etc in fractions of gold without hauling it around. The point of the gold standard is to restrain government from debasing it's currency. A peaceful transition would make physical ownership less relevant. However, if gold becomes money due to collapse, we'll have bigger things to worry about.
