  • Bert sure was light as a feather once he fell with the piano.

  • OMG a GIANT ROCK!-YGO Abridged

  • There's a similar sketch with Kermit and Grover

  • What year was this?

  • Bert's too funny. "Did I win?"

  • "It's not just a boulder, it's a rock!" - Spongebob

  • Is Bert Using Rowlf's Piano??????

Rowlf Is Gonna Have A Fit When He Saw

    What Happened To His Piano!!!!

  • Rock Or Boulder

    They're The SAME!!!!!

  • Poor Bert

  • @cstoczyn Yeah. Frank Oz's Muppet always suffers! LOL

  • @MrTornado300 Yep

  • Cotton Candy.......MMMMMMMM!!!!!!!

  • Bert's hair is priceless at the end hehehe

  • @woshy0 LOL

  • At 2:28, Bert sounded like he said "shit" LOL

  • @MrTornado300 He Said, "Sure"

  • I believe Steve Whitmire does it in this sketch

  • @MrTornado300 No, Jim Henson played Ernie.

  • @2011mrkingofkings My bad.

  • @2011mrkingofkings That's Right

  • I'm a musician, it's a shame a piano gets broken at the end!

  • @Steinbach1984 Sad, But True

  • Why didn't Ernie have Bert lift him? I wonder how heavy he would have been...especially compared to a piano, which is the heaviest thing in the world!

  • That's twice they used the piano in a heavy and light demonstration.

  • hahahaha!!!!

Eu amo esse vídeo! Vale muito a pena, ver!

    Eu ri demais!

  • You know it would have been funny if this was like the Kermit and Grover one where Bert asked Ernie if he could do light and Ernie could do heavy and he,Bert would still have bad luck.

  • @moatguy Well, they have to expand their horizons somewhat. It would have been too obvious had they done that. Though there was an E&B sketch from the recent years concerning big and small where that did happen.

  • It sounded as if someone was shoving something in Bert's rectum multiple times.

  • They also could have made Bert bring in a car or a tree or a locomotive.

  • Poor Betr. XD

  • I think that's where Ric Flair got his passing out in the wrestling ring ideas, he saw how Bert fell over carrying heavy objects. It's funny to see poor Bert fall forward, and then backwards in destroying the piano!

  • when you lift heavy object, always use your leg, never use your back, because your back isn't strong, your leg is stronger, than your back, a safe lifting is easy, If you can't do it safely, don't do it.

  • at 2:28 it sounded like bert said ''oh shit!'' LOL

  • Yes, in the past I also thought that it sounded like he said that but, some people in the past corrected me telling me that he actually said "I should, I should have known." They also told me that he was stuttering and out of breath which is the reason why it sounded like he said a bad word here.

  • and ernie was interrupting so it made it even hard fur us to know for sure what he was saying LOL

  • Yes, as Bert was saying "I should, I should have known" Ernie was talking a little too loud saying "bring it in." (I guess with Bert stuttering, out of breath, and with Ernie talking a little too loud all mixed together made it sound like Bert was saying a bad word when he wasn't).

  • LOL

  • I knew Bert was going to faint!

    Poor thing.

  • i love Bert and Ernie!

  • Next thing you know Ernie will carry a balloon while Bert carries an anvil!

  • Bert's laugh sounds like a sheep. :P

  • Is the piano all right? Guess Ernie was out some money renting it!

  • That Bert is such a PIGEON around ERnie! Poor old Bert!

  • Yes I know. I felt bad for Bert that he got injured (he was lucky that he didn't fall forward otherwise he could have been killed).

Since Ernie and Bert are friends, I have always wondered if there was a skit or episode on Sesame Street where Ernie and Bert met for the first time and decided to be friends and live in an apartment together. The other thing I wonder is that, I wonder why Bert wants to be friends and live with Ernie if Ernie bothers him when he's reading, sleeping, etc.

  • Poor Bert!

  • the piano! the piano? the piano!

  • Ernie sort of reminds me of a special education teacher.

  • LMAO!!!!!!

  • Where did you get this video?

  • bert on drugs there in the beginning?

  • ERNIE, AHH, O THIS BARBELL'S SO HEAVY!

  • Is the Piano Alright? LMAO He's not even worried about Bert.

  • That's true that, it was strange how Ernie was more worried for the piano than for Bert but, that's how Ernie is being unfair just like Bert said from 3:05-3:20. (Most of the skits have a happy ending for Ernie but, a sad and/or angry ending for Bert).

  • @abdlplaysite Bert:(fainted): OOOOOOHHHHHHH...........

  • Ernie was trying to get Bert Killed.

  • The boulder Bert had isn't as bad as the one Grover had to carry in the demonstration with Kermit.

  • ahhhhhahahahaha

  • This must have been one of the last Ernie & Bert sketches that Jim and Frank did together. This looks like it was made between 1987 - 1989, could be from 1986

  • lol bert

  • hahaahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahaahhahaahahhaahahahahhaahhahaahhahahahahahahahaahhaahahahhahaahhahahahahaahhaahhaahha lol so funny i love you ernie

  • Those look like the perfect versions of Ernie & Bert when I make puppets outta them, those were very realisic crashes, & they should've used the other kind of barbells, with the rings, you know what I mean.

  • This was one of the last Ernie and Bert clips made, with Jim Henson's Ernie. It might even be the very last for all I know.

  • I think the opposite game clip was even later.

  • Does anybody have the dutch version of this????

I've been looking for that one for ages!

    Thnx!

  • DON"T try this at home, especially trying to pick up the Piano

  • hey watch your Language

  • it sounds like bert said "aww shit...i should've known" in 2:28, who knew bert would say such bad words?!! lol

  • He just said "I should... I should've known.", he was stuttering because of exhaustion, lol. He wouldn't have said that. It is bad what kids learn from TV shows and mainstream radio today, Sesame Street was perfect.

  • Yes, as I listen carefully it does sound like Bert said that, and I can definately tell that he was stuttering from being out of breath (he is pretty strong). Also I agree, it is bad for kids to learn bad words from TV shows.

  • Sounds like "I should... I should've known," to me.

  • It also sounds like to me that Bert said "I should, I should've known." I can tell this now, as I listen to Bert carefully at 2:28. (Ernie sure was being unfair to Bert, and I know that most Ernie and Bert skits have a happy ending for Ernie but, a sad and/or angry ending for Bert).

  • That explains why Bert eats so much oatmeal..gives ya super Muppet strength!

  • "Bert, is the piano all right?" LOL

  • Poor bert.

  • Why is bert happy to play a game here? He mostly never wants to play with ernie.

  • This must have been the first one, and he's been wiser to all of Ernie's games because of this.

  • I wonder how Doc and Sprocket would have reacted to that. LOL!

  • Isn't life funny? Ahahahahaha!

  • one has a unibrow, one has no eyebrows at all...

  • "Is the piano all right?" Ernie sure doesn't know how to split roles fairly - or he just really likes to trick Bert. Bert sure is stronger than he looks!

  • Good thing they're not in the moving business! Great clip.

  • It goes like this

  • What other Ernie and Bert skits do you have?

  • LOL That was hilarious!

  • Well, it could have been worse. Bert might have fallen forward, and then the piano would have been on top of him.

  • A word from all The Youtubers who are commenting on this video:This video is rated E FOR Ernie is doing light things and B for Bert who carry the really "Heavy" Piano.Triple LOL

  • Ernie is particularly sadistic in this one!

  • This is one of Jim and Franks last moments together as Ernie and Bert. :( Rest in Peace Jim

  • Seeing Bert carrying that piano reminds me of a CD cover I saw once...it was for a jazz organist named Larry Goldings, and he's carrying his Hammond B-3 on his back.

I also wonder if Ernie got that cotton candy from Letter People Land. There is a guy over there who specializes in that particular foodstuff.

  • This looks like the only skit where Bert was very interested in playing a game. Usually on other skits when Ernie wants to play a game with Bert, Bert usually responds saying "no Ernie I'm trying to read!", "no Ernie I'm counting my paper clips!", "no Ernie I'm counting my bottlecaps!", "no Ernie I'm eating oatmeal!" and "no Ernie I'm feeding my pet pigeon Bernice!"

  • Maybe because Bert wasn't doing anything for Ernie to interupt.

  • That's true. The other thing I forgot to mention was that, if Ernie wanted to play a game while Bert was sleeping (since they have Ernie and Bert bedtime skits) Bert would respond "no Ernie I just want to sleep!"

  • @afriendofbean With all those games Ernie ropes him into, Bert may also be collecting hospital bills!

  • @Ian16545 I agree. That's true.

  • There are times when my parents never liked Ernie, mainly because of how he treats Bert. I never liked how Ernie asked if the piano was okay.

  • Why does Bert have to be so gullible? By now you'd think he'd be on to Ernie's games!

  • Now lets see the Piano fall on bert and have two keys come out of his mouth as teeth. Just like in cartoons :-D

  • Bert must've been very strong to carry that very very heavy piano all by himself. If anyone tried to carry a piano by themself, they would get squashed and maybe injured and/or killed.

  • Anit it the truth!!

  • Agreed. And it would be enough to send out an EMS team.

  • Comment removed

  • I know, I was just giving my opinion, and felt surprised to see how strong Bert was carrying a heavy piano (heavier than the barbell and boulder) all by himself.

  • aww poor Bert!

  • Where did Ernie find such heavy objects to torture Bert with?

OMG! The part with the piano is killing me!"Bert,Bert,Is the piano alright?"XD

  • And they say Bert is Evil when it's really Ernie. LOL

  • Nice choice for your 300th post! Poor Bert...that piano msut've hurt.

  • Indeed, you're right, Marshal Grover, in fact, it is my conviction that this sketch will most likely never be shown on the program proper again. Ernie's mistreatment of Bert throughout the sketch just doesn't fit in with Sesame Workshop's new dumbed down, politically correct curriculum.

  • Congrats on video 300!
