  • Hahaha... English cheddar (product of England and Wales)

    Fab clip

  • In This Clip, From 7:50 To 7:56, It Was Yorkshire TV's Now And Then Video ID For Sunday Night, September 4, 1983.

  • In This Clip, From 0:01 To 4:03, It Was ITV-TV's Herman Wouk's The Winds Of War Video Promo For Sunday Night, September 4, 1983.

  • The BioTex ad isn't so bad, especially when it has that hot girl in her underwear.

  • Yes, I love it when the woman quite liberally allows us to view her white knickers on camera, although as the Stylistics' lyrics sung to us, I think that they were brand new rather than already washed in Bio Tex. As a five to eight year old growing up in the early to mid 1980s that advert stuck out as one of the most memorable for obvious reasons...

  • Victoria Tennant was the female actress in this war drama. Any other programmes she appeared in since then? One of the early Carling adverts with the famous jingle. I wonder who the lady was that said the slogan 'I bet he drinks...

  • The BioTex ad is a very special early memory for me - always on Thames between Let's Pretend and something with Miriam Stoppard - but I agree that "People Make the World Go Round" is a much better song.

One Summer is a great series. Not sure who this announcer is - it's definitely not one of YTV's big four (Redvers Kyle, Graham Roberts, John Crosse, Paul Lally).

  • Yes, this announcer is a mystery to me too.
