  • I totally agree, people like Sammy were the real deal. There will never be people like that again, that era has long past. Glad we have things like this to remember them by and show our kids. R.I.P Sammy!

  • so, this is a person that we need today in this business!!not justin bieber stuff!!

it makes me so sad because today music had changed!

  • hola por favor me gustaria saber el nombre de la segunda cancion q canta este gran cantante besoss...

  • There has never been anyone quite like Sammy. He was an original.

  • What amazing talent

  • What an amazing talent

  • Now That's entertainment!

  • If he didn't smoke.....he'd still be with us now.........Throat cancer killed him from years of smoking.....

  • More than fantastic. Monumental talent. Perfection.

  • A hellish job for the bass player to find the chords of 'Tie A Yellow Ribbon' at the drop of a hat, and in the right key.

  • He was the quinessential entertainer!

  • now this is a great entertainer

  • Great video. I miss Sammy and Johnny. They don't make em like that anymore.

  • what I miss about the tonight show and entertainment like this, is you don't see the magic like this anymore. Sammy, just being his natural self... a true entertainer. not one trying to pitch a movie or sell there record.

  • When you see Sammy doing stuff like this, it shows that even thoguh he was from the old jazz era, he was more than familiar with the Soul and Rock era's innovations and styles too, mainly because their base is in older things anyway

  • There never was anyone like Sam Davis

  • I`m so glad that I actually had such good taste in music that I was able to admire and appreciate Sammy already in my early teens. I`m 40 now, Sammy is a big influence on my life.

  • Amazing...

  • He was a republican like MLK and Ronald Reagan, hahahahahaha!

  • You're one of the reasons YouTube shouldn't exist.

  • Because I tell the truth...I understand, truth is your enemy and as a totalitarian any avenue for truth must be ended. Sammy was a fine republican. And you're the reason YouTube SHOULD exist, because without your idiocy for all to see it would remain hidden and unchallenged. Thank you.

  • Duchess.

  • Whatever that means...

  • that's how

  • Incredible!! Talk about feeling the spirit of the music!! This is an awesome clip of pure talent!

  • Oh my word what was that Sammy just laid on me I think I damn near feel over amazing fellow he was

  • this is like a snowball rolling on down the hill and getting bigger.

  • lol 2:32! BREAK IT DOWN!

    gotta love sammy

  • He was stoned, but cool as hell! You gotta love him. They'll never be another Sammy.

  • OFF THE CHAIN!!!

  • You just don't see this type of talent anymore. We could learn a lot from the past. So many of today's performers rely on effects - most would not make it if they had to stand alone on stage. Sammy Davis is untouchable Great video.

  • Sammy the man!

  • Sammy !!

  • When they say the man was an amazing talent I think we just saw why.

  • awesome!

  • Wow. Thanks for this :)

What does someone in the audience shout at 1:46?

    Sounds like 'Sammy baby!'...

Is there a video of Johnny interviewing Sammy?

  • Someone shouted, "Sing it Daddy," at least thats what I heard.

  • He is not only singing it, he's become the music itself and mixed it with the mood he's in. Fabulous!!! Thanks.

  • He's truly timeless!

  • a LIVE remix before the remix was invented... That's what Sammy is and was!!

  • I love this. It is pure genius!

  • Fabulous!That man had talent!
