you cant play that on alto, the range isnt the same, it wouldnt work, the low notes wouldnt work and if you played it up the octave it would be too high. Sorry :(

@usetheforce...no offense..but he could play it on alto...any thing u play on tenor u can play on alto and bari...u just have to transpose it..they have the same range..exept u can play 1 note more on bari...low a

not really becuase you cant really play the altissimo register on an alto to that extent, that melody utilizes a C altissimo note and alto players pretty much never play that high, thats like on the soprano, it's already so high that people dont play altissimo. That melody is over 4 octaves

can you play your overtones from your low Bb up to your altissimo d? That would be very beneficial to reach the high C after the low C#. I use left hand 1 and 3 and right hand 1 and 3 to get the high C out

nope, just a different type of saxophone. The tenor has a lower sound than the alto and that is basically the only difference.

no, its just a lower pitch the ordder is saprano, alto, tenor, bari, bass. ( pronouced like base) most people start on an alto and work their way to tenor, soprano then bari. there are not alot of people in the world that play the bass, and there are even fewer that kno it egsists, lol!
