To me, it's like the Voca-Charas (my nickname for them x3) are pronouncing the vowels, er... I don't know how to say it, but um...strictly? Er, yeah.

EXAMPLES (for "k-"):

ka - like how you pronounce father

ke - pronounce "eh"

ko - like "go"

ki - Like "key"

ku - "koo"

This goes for [almost] all syllables, I think..
