  • This band sounds so weird, so I'm excited to see them live soon. I think they will bring shit down. Live sound is pretty damn radical.

  • Anyone ever thought that maybe it was a trigger misfiring problem, rather than double bass-related inconsistency?

  • Awesome brutality

  • part way through the song i was reminded of meshuggah a little too much, these guys r still fuckin beasts.

  • this vocalist was very good and unusual, too stupid of them to lose him

    great band anyway

  • Awsome band live/ They're playing at The Bald Faced Stag in Sydney on October 23. I'm not with the band by the way, just a big fan!

  • im going to see them tomorow with vader, decrepit birth, warbringer, augery, shashbuckle

  • Those pedals do sound pretty sloppy. Good sound though, i'd love to see them live.

  • pedals are out of time

  • @defection timing is for justin bieber.

  • @TheItchyFetus who?

  • @defection try to be in time with that fast of dub bass.... still sounds badass

  • @defection it's no shame to fail your timing if you play that fast. shit happens

  • awsome....

  • Sic video and great sound! I love this band.

  • awesome band. Complex yet somewhat positively primitive.

Vocalist sounds like Glenn Benton there. Love it.

  • they are amazing live, im seeing them in 2 days at Unleashing The Extreme=D, cant wait now after seeing this:D

  • great footage

  • The Amenta's new singer RIPS their old one.

  • My fav song off the album great too see they can play it live.

  • amazing band!!! better than others more famous!

    THE AMENTA RULES!!!

  • awesome (H)!!

  • love it

  • the lyrical quality of this band is amazing, take nihil for example....

  • Aw man, I'm gutted the end of the song was cut off. I love that ongoing synth noise and the staccato bit towards the end.

  • care to elaborate?

  • The Amenta Rules!!!!!

  • vet geniaal:O i love it <33

  • im going to mary david haleys feet

and lube up and have sex with them ever night

  • kinda not cool :S

  • he played for 4 bands at festival of the dead and he was solid in every one

  • The drummer sounds like he's laboring here. That said, what he does on the record is inhuman.

  • Live shows are tiring.

  • this band is fantastic, i never heared it before ...

  • Fantastic video quality. I'm suprised at Dave's double bass sloppiness in this video.. he flams like mad.

  • he probly got tired.

  • Yeaa hh oooo rocckkk yeaaa oo

  • Great band! After Psycroptic, The Amenta are absolutely my fav band!

  • extreme metal covers many sub genres so technically you're wrong oldakustikblues...but whatever the amenta are amazing, have an awesome way of changing tempos within the song so there is variety with fast blast beats as opposed to a whole album full of the same boring blasts...i love all the songs on ocassus

  • this is not extreme metal fuck the ignorant. Extreme metal is a subgenre that came out from progressive cliches and changes from acoustic/light to electric/heavy elemets just like opeth and textures, The Amenta is industrial death metal....got it Rhademanthus?

  • wrong, this is industrial death metal, but industrial death metal IS extreme metal...

  • Wrong

"Extreme metal is an umbrella term, somewhat loosely defined, for a variety of heavy metal subgenres developed since the 1980s. Though the term does not refer to any specific style or sound, it most commonly refers to music which either is a member of, or incorporates elements of, genres such as death metal, black metal, thrash metal or doom metal."

    Wikipedia...

So you are the fucking ignorant.

The Amenta is industrial death metal AND, extreme metal.

  • well chlordane himself said that the amenta is no specific genre because, the second you pigeon-hole yourself into one specific genre, you become confined into making your music only within those constraints. he said that as far the amenta are concerned they are simply extreme metal because the they have all the room they need to create exactly the sound they want.

  • i mean, who else who only describes themselves as death or black metal has mixed elements of death, industrial and noise? that's what makes the amenta so unique. so maybe the amenta are extreme metal in the one way such a loose term should be meant; if mroe bands only saw themselves as extreme maybe they'd be far more open-minded and create far more diverse music, rather than a hundred death metal bands blasting the same hyper-fast beats and never making anything new.

  • In that case extreme metal is an obsolete term, it tells nothing about the sound and thats what is important

  • They sound fucking awesome. Full stop.

  • funny, you guys are a funny funny group of funny guys! teehee

  • Extreme metal is just a way of saying 'Black/Death Metal' without actually saying it's a crossover of the two. Extreme metal is not a genre of its own.

Whatever you call it, The Amenta rules.

  • Personnaly i would call this music Extreme Metal..

  • The AmentA is industrial death metal. AMENTA FCUKING RULE AUSTRALIA! (I would say world, but devildriver is my fav band)

  • all oppinions aside, the amenta own virtually everyone...other than maybe nile and behemoth.

  • Nile and behemoth are great too, but the amenta is absolutely unique!

  • completely agree. all three bands are forerunners of their sound, but the amenta is just beyond. all three are among my favourite bands.

  • y0 dudes its brendan from neobliviscaris...

so good to see some footage of you dudes. sydney was absolutely awesome.

check my vids. theres a few.

  • I was at this gig. Twas badarse mother fuckers! See you at our gig this Friday.

    Miles - Norse

  • Dave Haley would have to be one of the world's best drummers ever. He kicked serious ass when Psycroptic and The Amenta opened for Behemoth... absolutely mad show.

  • Amen.

  • pretty fast double base :)

  • fear factory new music is relative to industrial.. pretty much all their sound has an industrial edge

and yes the Amenta fucking rock, great live show you guys put on when opening for Behemoth!

  • for the same reason they call fear factory or strapping young lad industrial... i dont get it either.

  • some one please explain to me why this was under "Industrial"??

  • because this is "industrial death metal" =P
