the language of tax lingo in Congress is screwed from the get-go...there can be a scheduled increase of a tax, but if they reduce the rate of increase, they call that a tax cut, despite the fact that taxes still go up...
I'd love for a "tax honesty day" when people would just say "running this country is hella expensive, we are trillions in debt mostly to China. We can't keep satisfying 157,092 different groups, everyone's taxes are now 25% period. Every april, 25%. No breaks or loopholes"
