I loved all of Kelly' performances, but this one and SLTT are the two I can't get enough of. AI has gotten so boring. There hasn't been a truly strong and interesting group since David Cook's season, and even that one was the first interesting season since AI4.
What is really sad is if Kelly or Carrie would be on today they would never have won, because now its about popularity not talent. I doubt another woman will ever win AI

It was a good rendition, but I felt it missed what the song was about, if your going to take on an Aretha Franklin song you need to get into the lyrics and play the roll. For singing is just another way in which to tell a story, you have to convey the emotion though out the song.

After season 2 the judges started to sour up and paula started being drunk and randy wasnt as cool anymore and simon gone soft.
When kelly was there they were happy and themselves and you can tell they really want a new kelly to come along but kelly is one of a kind and they will never find a new one.

Note for note every time, and that's stealing. I say Jackson 5 but really do Troop's version, I'm claiming there work as my own

You're tone deaf. Listen to Mariah's version once more andc listen to this again. Tell me that she copied this note for note, because she didn't. This was no where near sounding like Mariah's. This is not an opinion, but a fact, Kelly CLarkson is without a doubt a way better singer than Mariah hands down. Mariah was okay but never in her life could she flip a song and add her own style to the rendition of the song she's singing as Kelly can. So how could it be stealing and kelly sings it better!

Here's how it is. Yeah, great voice. Cute too. Every time I watch this I'm just amazed how such a powerful voice can be produced by such a delicate person... Kelly Clarkson definitely was one of the best AI candidates ever and now that she has found "her" voice and music, she's even better. Just great.

i have to say no matter how many seasons they will never be the same old good judge or there will never be as good singer as kelly.
After season 2 the judges started to sour up and paula started being drunk and randy wasnt as cool anymore and simon gone soft.
When kelly was there they were happy and themselves and you can tell they really want a new kelly to come along but kelly is one of a kind and they will never find a new one.
