@breckerbros never stood next to him in the booth but as a club member @ 16 (I lied) I heard the song EVERY weekend and lost my mind.... do kids even sweat when dancing at the club anymore.... hell I used to take a change of clothes!!!
@rickgee613 No, they stand around on the dancefloor posing for photos which they want to put on Facebook, because as you know, no event actually existed without photos of your mouth wide open on Facebook. We used to *dance*, and dance, and dance.
THIS WAS AND STILL IS THE JAM!!! This version will forever be my favorite. You can hear the light strings of the orchestra, and the pure vocals of Christine - where she is not screaming to get her point across. When you can sing a song that has lyrical content that would not embarrass your parents or children if they were listening, you know gone are the days of making great music like this. Less is more, every time. Children of today will never know just how great our music was...sad but true
Your right in Chicago at about 5am at the Power Plant or the Muzic Box it didn't matter when ever I heard this track I and the whole club lost it's mind. I've been lookin for this version for 24 year. I am so very happy that u posted this. Thank You, Thank You and Jack You!!!!!
Shout outs to DANIEL and MONIQUE (CHINA)for rockin ROBERT TREAT BALLROOM in 1983.We used to rock til like 4am,then hit CLUB ZANZIBAR or for those like myself, who couldnt pass, hit NEW EXPERIENCE.I couldnt get in ZANZ til like 87,the door got a lil loose by then. The WEEQUAKE crowd aways got in,LMFAO!!! I'M NOT MAD THOUGH . . .any more :)Miss Yal!!!

A true mountain moving tune....LARRY dug a hole in the floor with this trax....get the baby powder for the following weekend...this version holds just as much substance as the remake IMO.... both are dance classics. Play either version & it if classic lovers who known his/her music will run to the floor & get his/her groove on. R.I.P. Larry & the P.G. you are missed BIG TIME!
The class action version is what we used to bump in Hyde Park back in the early 80's much soulful version, an the beats are harder in the class action version( larry levan)

Wow u learn something new everyday. Well at least you're supposed to. Leroy Burgess of Aleem co- wrote and co-produced this song. I like this version but the version by Class Action that came out in 1983 was spit fire. I was 18 able to get in the clubs by then and it was all over. Nonetheless, a club classic.
@tmontyb10011 I didnt know that......Thanx for the info.... My mom had the "Class Action" Version and I loved it. But dont u think her vocals in "Class Action" were more powerful??
Sat night at the Garage, it's 6:30 in the morning, the party's at its height, you've been dancing nonstop for hours, sweat is DRIPPING off your body, I need a rest, I need a rest, but OMG is that ...is that....Find a friend OMG YES whatchu been givin ain't enough I'm goin out to find some love tonight...this song wore EVERYBODY out, breathless we were, tryin to keep pace with this fabulous song, thank you for posting
@njplr I hear you. I hear you. But I can win the awards for this being my song. I am visualizing me right now in from of one of those big speakers in Paradise Garage (The Garage) with my eyes close, just grooving and swaying to this song, my song. Oh yeahhhh. I'm feeling it all over again. Bronx, New York City.
oh if you didn't beat that dance floor down when this came on ..... you had to be dead... even the hearing impaired would get up and do their thing to this.
OHHHHHH SNAP!
So this is the original. Slap myself.
