I loved this song for many many years before I heard that it was related to homosexuality. Actually there are lots of songs that I love that I had no idea were about homosexuality until decades later. Good music is good music. It's too bad that my insecurities can get in the way of me liking a song. It's best to hear without any prior knowledge, then just the music makes it through. Once my lifelong predjudices get in the way, there's much that I will miss out on.
