I absolutely love this song. This is one of the best examples of 80's alternative rock in my opinion. This song is deep on many levels, very complex. Thanks for posting it.
Yes, this was CFNY era music, back when they were the absolute best station for indie, new and underground music. CFNY is why I am still searching out the obscure and different in music. Search for CBC radio 3 and you can listen to today's Canadian indie and breaking muisc.
What an incredible period for music this was - urban alternative combined with funk and African World music influences. I wonder if this style of music will ever make a comeback...or is the world now way too jaded and "post everything" to accept it?
Great song, like the last comment this is my fave from the DASEPARC album but i preffer MYSTERY WALK to that album although my all time fave is THIS IS THE ICE AGE which is a BRILLIANT album(as is the title track a brill song) and recently issued for the first time on CD with the mega extra track TWENTY TWO IN CINCINATI.Swimming is a good track but i prefferTHIS IS THE ICE AGE.Thanks for the upload-MORE M&TM PLEASE!!!!
Thank you!!!! My fave M + M song. From "Danseparc," with influences from King Crimson and Talking Heads. Saw 'em in NYC in '83. Martha wore a great red 40's style dress and massive-brimmed hat. Awesome. We need "Swimming" posted....
