I have an LCD TV if I switch it on, the TV will come on, there will be a perfect picture for a minute, then it goes off. Every time I switch it on, it comes on, but goes off quicker each time, the Status light on the front remains blue (ON) I have to go to standby, and then press a channel for it to come back on. Yesterday, out of the blue, it started working again, but then after I switched it off last night, this mornining when I went to switch it on again, the same thing occurs. Any ideas?
wow you got lucky at radioshack i went their today for 1500uf 10v and a 680uf 10v for my TV/computer monitor and they dont carry them i had to order mine from digi-key now i got to wait but im getting ready to go back to school so look like i will be moving with out my tv im going to really bord on my off time
@Dusty696969 - hi not sure what to say if they all look ok; would then need to make the decision to either take it in to repair shop or buy a new one. was just lucky being able to repair this one because the capacitor looked bad.
aside from the headache I got watching this jittery camera, the only thing worthwhile in this video was the link to badcaps.net. Next time dude, record in HD and have a cig before shooting so you're not so damb wobbly.
@flavious27 sorry for late response, just realized comments turned off. i can't remember the replacement. i believe in the video the wrapper had the capacitor rating
@dbradley3 I replace the caps twice, then the board, still not working right. Just bought a new TV and will decide what to do with the old one later. Maybe see if there is a good sale on the main board to make it a computer monitor. It doesn't stay on, it lightly flickers and then turns off.
wow tyhe cover was a real pain in the ass to take off, i found 3 bad caps and am on the way to radio shack. the third is the last one on the right side of the board near the top..did you ever get your fixed?

@MysteriousMayonaise - yep; if they aren't visually bad - way prices are going might be cheaper to buy a new one than pay for repair

My caps just failed me a day or so ago. What caps did you get to replace yours? On my board, it shows they are 1200uf at 35v.

@flavious27 - sorry i can't remember. i think the model is listed on the wrapper that is held up on the screen for a few seconds towards the end
