The second tension collar was required in all likelihood because of the wide
extension sections that covered the decking. Normally the only time two are used is when the buyer opts for the extreme high wind package - which also includes more extensive sheathing nailing patterns, etc.
It sounds like you started with one tension collar, then found out you needed a second one. How did you discover that you needed a second tension collar?
my Canadian engineer said I needed 2 collars ....I do not have the high wind package.....Deltec should have known that I may have needed 2 collars

make sure you find out if you need 2 tension collars like I did.....it was a $1300.00 hidden extra cost
