@dirtyd64w They do live in south Texas, in extremely small numbers. The ocelot used to inhabit central Texas as well, but there habitat has been devastated. Ocelots thrive in a dense underbrush type habitat, not a cage or your home.

Your heart should let you know that. It's common sense. INSTINCT. Nobody should ever be confined or kept as a slave or 'pet'. Think with your heart and not your head.
This is absolutely horrifying and incredibly cruel. Why the hell would anybody confine a mountain lion?! Seriously, nature intended for all animals to be free. Mountain lions are not 'pets'. This is extreme cruelty, common sense tells you that. You should stop expoliting animals.
People often scream and bitch when they see animals in cages like this. Now if people are mad about this fine, it's a wild animal and I can agree with that to an extent, but what about all of you large dog owners who live in the city? You keep your dog locked up in a little kennel smaller than this one in the back yard or in a small one in the garage. Too many times have I seen German Shepards or Huskies caged up all the damn time.
Am I the only sane person here who thinks this is fucking wrong? Keeping WILD animals as pets, chained up, caged in small spaces and dressed up in goddamn halloween costumes for entertainment.
These creatures need to be in their natural habitat, not bred for the amusement of sick americans with no regard for the animals well being. At least that's what I'm seeing. There doesn't seem to be any enrichment for them. They are just caged up, sleeping all day with nothing to do.
do u see the animal playing with its owner? i mean i dont like the fact that people keep wild animals as pets either but these people obviously care about the animal if it trusts them to play with it let alone be in its cage. and it is illegal im most states in america to own wild animals
@Dominus357 This cougar moves very well to be sleeping. also every cat wild or domestic spends much of its day sleeping. Thats where we get the phrase cat nap from. and one more thing if you dont like what you see dont watch. + you sound more phanatical than a jehovas wittness.
no, i'm just not a rude disrespectful cunt, like some people i know, but i won't mention any names... and my mother woulf NEVER be fucked by someone who has no dick!
There's no fucking need to fucking use a fucking @ for fucking crap, you fucking idiot. Fucking Jesus fucking Christ fucking monkeyballs, you're fucking dumb!
And it's fucking obviously fucking spoiled, spoiled the fucking fuck out of its fucking mind, where in the fucking wild, it would have been fucking dead from a fucking disease or a fucking bear or a fucking wolf because it would have been fucking eaten when it was fucking young! You're so fucking dumb it's not even fucking funny!
It's possible that he was rescued rather than being ripped away from his mother(most likely even). If that was the case, he wouldn't have a chance in the wild anyway. Just saying~
my veines they had a cougar, according to them the avian rescued, had a very small cage 1 x 2, these birds not cleaned his cage, a day at night we heard a shot the cougar roared, the following morning the cat was not there, everyone realized what had happened, I cry n cry for having done nothing before, since that day I do not believe these stories, free animals are happier and will not change my idea.
well looks to me like its a sanctuary or something because of the other cages and other felines. no offence but i hate it when enviormentalists go all animal rights group bull shit.
@eminempkr Humans are animals. How would you like it if somebody took away your natural born freedom and deprived you of what nature gave you? No animal, regardless if they're human or cat or dog or mouse, should ever be confined or kept as a 'pet'. It is cruelty. Think with your heart and not your head. It's the voices in your head that make you crazy. We are animals. Human is a species.
@eyemfree Honestly..This is what i'm talking about I do not speak with my heart or my head on this subject. It is not cruelty and can not be stopped unless you would like to release them from this "cruelty"? and let them die in the wilderness because of your own ideals. Also I am not crazy and I have my own opinion on this topic..However you're different from me and we don't have the same ways of thinking. However I respect your opinion.
Maybe it is injured and cant live on its own. Maybe the mother abandoned it and is now unable to live in the wild because it never learned how to kill.
@cwood4ever killing and hunting is an instinct for all animals. my pet cat was separated from its mother prematurely and dumped in my kitchen while i was away from home with a note. he had never really been near another cat, yet he has tried to take my good friends, Left Arm and Right Arm away several times. now, after reading this, say that giant, dog-eating behemoth doesn't know how to kill!
@cwood4ever killing and hunting is an instinct for all animals. my pet cat was separated from its mother prematurely and dumped in my kitchen while i was away from home with a note. he had never really been near another cat, yet he has tried to take my good friends, Left Arm and Right Arm away several times. now, after reading this, say that giant, dog-eating behemoth doesn't know how to kill! for surely if my house-cat does, so does it
People love to anthropomorphize animals. An animal doesn't have the same needs and wants as a human does.
When animals are stressed, whether it be a tarantula, bird, fish, dog or lion, they show it. These pet exotic cats do not show signs of being stressed. They look content.
Hahahahaha. No an animal has MORE needs than a human does. Humans are brainwashed by TV. A human can spend his lifetime staring at the TV, eating chips.
The more you post, the more you show how ignorant you are when it comes to animals, I m not a bit surprised since you are caging a Cougar. Humans (at the time of this writing) live in societies, some of us though need to be incarcerated when we do something wrong, your Cougar hasn't done anything wrong AFAIK and by nature is a wild animal that need many square miles of space to roam. You will understand when your Cougar starts pacing back and forth inside its cage...
yeah,, but your not paying attention! This cougar is not in a prison!
you fail to see the principal of the matter and you automatically assume the worst. also, so you know, i dont have a pet cougar, nor do i wish to have one as a companion. I just disagree with your thought process and think that your quite ridiculous in your assumptions.
Not in a prison? How do you figure? You mean because there is nor warden and no curfew? Or is it because the Cougar appears to be happy. I have seen many "domesticated" wild animals, at one point, they will grow tired of the limited space, as I mentioned, these animal instinctively need to roam and hunt. Once they mature, they also need to mate. How about the Cougar's point of view for a change? Can't you see that this Cougar is simply there for someone else's satisfcation?
ah.. so you know exactly what cougars need and how they think? interesting.. how long have you been speaking to cats?
Im interested now,, besides of what YOU have HEARD,, what studies have you done? any publishings? experience working with this animal? education? so far your best argument is "you assume to know what they think and feel" German Shepards used to run wild, and are STILL happy animals being domesticated.
In the right hands, there is no harm in animal companions!!
We have learned to live with animals and they have learned to live with us. We own animals, and they own a part of us. We took ourselves out of the wild and evolved into a domesticated society. we do the same with animals. and they evolve with us. In fact, if im not mistaken, Captive bred animals live longer than wild animals exposed to the elements.
Im sure these owners know exactly what they are doing.. otherwise im sure they would not even be around this animal.
You keep stating examples that are not relevant. German Sheppards are dogs; dogs have been companions to humans for milleniums, Cougars haven't. Dogs get to walk and run freely in parks, on daily basis, people aren't afraid to pet them. This is a Cougar that is encaged, it doesn't get to roam, Cougars have never been friendly with humans, you are just arguying for the sake of argument... Don't bother replying, I'm done posting. thanks for reading and good luck to you.
no! your too ignorant to see the hardcore scientific facts and wanting to hate on someone just because YOU dont agree with it, wich in the first place your reasons are stupid! keep thinking what you want, the more you post the more im going to argue with you because i believe your reason of thought to be stupid!
And if you cant understand the principal of the facts i explained than maybe you should be done arguing!
Many people do not take their dogs to parks to run freely. They maybe get time going on walks while being restricted on a leash. Dogs still have the instinct to form packs just like wolves do. Even non-feral dogs bite, maim and kill people. And it takes only one generation away from human contact for a dog to be feral.
Captive bred "wild" animals can be just as docile as other pets. I'm sure if my cat was as big as a lion he would be considered a "wild" and "dangerous" animal as well.

yah some fat ass flashes this mt lion around to show off- it's all fun and games until their dicks get bitten off and their little kiddys dont have a throat anymore.
What about dogs? Dogs LOVE roaming free. Is it wrong to cage a dog? A backyard or house is still a "cage." If being "caged" is so terrible, we need to stop keeping dogs, cats, fish, birds and other animals that are kept in "cages" as pets.
Or do you honeslty believe a dog "enjoys" being in an enclosure anymore than a cougar does? I have seen tons of dogs running back and forth along fences. Most dogs do this. Is keeping dogs cruel?
Of course it is wrong to cage a dog, it is wrong to encage any being, human or animal. I know many people who own dogs, if fact I owned a dog myself, it was never encaged, none of the dogs I know are encaged. This is a cage, look at the video and realize that this cage is the only place where this cougar is allowed to roam.
I wonder how you would feel being locked inside your house for life, for someone else's enjoyment and publishing videos for others to enjoy watching you locked inside your home.
Id be happy as hell.. specially with the free food, love/effection, being safe from bigger fuckers that might eat me or kill me etc.. never having to work or pay taxes again, listening to peoples dumb bullshit or drama (like in this case you whining). And you know,, what the hell, if i got over 20,000 views,, id feel like a cool popular fuckin cougar!
OR,, if i was a smart cougar, and knew my captivity was for the benefit of my other kitty friends and alike, id say TO HELL WITH YOUR COMMENT
Your 20,000 views are because your video title is "Pet Cougar Kitten Having Fun", very mis-leading. You should change it to "I'm having fun watching Pet Cougar Kitten in a cage", let's see how many views you get then...
In the video, it appears to be having fun.. not mis-leading one bit.
only negative stuff going on is your comments.
But hey,, if your so cool to talk this kind of shit,, why dont you throw your ownself in the wild and leave all your material things behind. see how happy you are.. specially when your ass gets eaten by a cougar.. hah! oh wait, your captive bred.. you probably couldnt handle being thrown in the wild. so why dont you stay in your cage and post some better comments.
I think BCH may have some male cats, but males tend to be more rowdy and harder to work with. Not to mention they'd have a hard time managing them when the females are in heat.
front- Its one thing to have them in a shelter or zoo in order to help them reproduce faster to avoid extinction. Its another to say its ok to have wild animals as pets. Also, cougars are not an endangered species. And if u want these animals to not be extinct, stop taking away their habitats. In California, ppl are building homes in cougar territory, taking away their habitats and food. This will inevitably lead to tragic encounters with humans.
To even compare driving, biking, or walking as risky as owning a wild animal as a pet is ridiculous. Wild animals pose a threat to anyone living near them, including their owners. Wild animals should not be kept in captivity, they should be out in the wild. PERIOD.
Your odds in the USA of dieing in a car accidents is 1 in 84 odds of being killed by a big cat is literally on in over three million. an average 1 death per year by captive big cat and an average 33 per year by dog. But apparently in your other post no one should be allowed to have anything larger than a chihuahua(can't turn on you). Though a little dog could just might not be as damaging.
Maybe the reason why very few people die at the hands of big cats is because most of us dont live anywhere near them. For example, what are the chances of being killed by a panda in the wild here in america? The answer to that is zero, since there are no pandas in wild outside of Asia. Ur comparisons are dull and lack any reasoning.
1 in 4 will be involved in an auto accident in their life & 84 per year killed that way. You can assume most are drivers or voluntarily in a vehicle. out of an estimated 30,000 big cats only one kills someone each year, always has been a keeper/owner or someone voluntarily at the facility housing the animal, most have been at zoos and commercial establishments. While 1% of drivers are involved in an accident where they fall asleep at the wheel. .003% of captive big cats kill. Safer than driving.
It takes an expert to deal with wild animals. Wild animals are not for everyone, unlike driving where anyone can do that. U cannot compare the two. Its a no-brainer to prohibit owning a big cat, especially in heavily populated areas.
You could not take a person from a third world country who has never seen a car and expect them to drive with no instruction. So yes they can be compared. Both require some instruction and experience to do right. That does not mean no one should be allowed to. Zoos are run by humans so why can't other humans also take care of big cats? Most zoos are in populated areas. The above is obviously not and the caging just as good and the animal healthy and happy. So what makes this bad a zoos good?
Driving a car and taking care of a wild animal are two different things. Taking care of wild animals is something totally different. Its not for everyone. Unlike cars, animals have a mind of their own and if they get out of hand its a wrap.
upsolutely agree if the cougars hungry and live in the house they can attack anyone I remember the russian guy that has a female cougar at home and every morning she wasn't happy before she had her breakfast 300 gramms of fresh meat
You're being illogical. Having a mind has little to do with the danger factor that you are arguing. A car doesn't have a mind yet it is still more dangerous, or maybe it is more dangerous because of that. Either way it is more dangerous. Cars kill pedestrians all the time. A parked cars breaks could fail and run down a hill into a house and kill a family. No escaped big cat kill someone not on the premises by choice in USA. So no by standers. Those killed all chose to take the risk.
I am not being illogical. A parked car's break wont fail if it is parked. I never heard of that happening. If a big cat is hungry, it will attack anyone he does not recognize. I would not trust a wild animal in the hands of an owner.
You can drive with a parking break on, if breaks are shot the force of being parked on a hill can get it moving. You obviously know nothing about big cats either maybe a STARVED cat could attack people but then so would a starved dog. A dog of mine fasted by the vet growled at me when she saw me eating. Otherwise a cat that was raised with people will not see them as food, except maybe children but then you simply follow safety guidelines same as for a car(ex. break maintenance/feeding cat"
There is no such thing as a special breed "that won't turn on their owners" ever. EVERY breed in existence has the capability of mauling people. Labs, Golden Retrievers, Dalmatians, Pomeranians, Poodles, German Shepherds, etc. have ALL killed humans.
Its all about how you raise and treat the animal, and taking safety precautions.
Cougars in Calif. are already protected to the point that they've almost wiped-out the native Mule Deer population in certain Northern & Central zones.
at zis point in time, cougars have to be in captivity. Or else they would become instant hunter bait, and with ze population so low, they cannot afford zat. Would u rather see them in captivity or extinct?
Seeing that these animals have proper enclosure made me happy. But I'd recommend straying from the word "pet" don't encourage people. Few people can actually handle the responsibility and challenge taking care of a cougar comes with.
Exotic pets arn't for everyone, but that doesn't mean they are 100% for no one! They take 100 times more care and dedication.. Also exotic pets bond with their owners just like a normal pet would. They arn't sad neglected animals locked in a cage *rolls eyes* I swear, some people don't think for themselves. They hear some stupid over-twisted media report or AP show and think that every exotic pet is mistreated, abused, and unhappy. Seriously people! Don't limit yourself to only black & white!
I agree. And it's funny how these hypocritical fools would scrutinize someone who knows how to care for an animal, but don't say anything about the mistreatment of animals in pet stores (guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chinchillas)
But thats just the world right? Don't say anything about injustice...only injustice that is out of the norm.
Completely true. There are a million things wrong with this world that could use some change, but instead of focusing our power to those problems, we instead focus on other things that arn't injustice, but we concider them that because it is not what we are use to. People are afraid of diffrence and don't like it when they can't understand something. So rather then try to understand they take the easy road and choose ignorance.
Sorry, Just ignore me if I'm starting to ramble! lol =P
To be safe, loved and well feed....is better than having to battle for your life daily. Everyone has a way of life.....what is perfect for one, might be odd to another, this is America right? Good.....enjoy your cougar!!
thats like keeping your child in your house under your rule forever. Well if you have kids u would know that at some point they want to get the hell out. When cougars reach maturity its instinctual for them to go out on their own. Just let them be wild why do we have to control them?
Actually, it is NOT ....kids become teenagers and then adults.......and their instict is to get out on their own...cougars stay in their family.........Ownership is the American way.... don't you own your pets? Just choice of pets here....you need to educate yourself about captive animals before judgeing.......they would not be happy being put back into the wild.
BeckyJayne17 - if you really and truly believe that living in a cage is sad, then why don't you help out in getting the regulations changed so that exotic animal owners can have their pets inside their homes as a family member? It is the law that requires us to have these cats in cages, not us.

u mean move him from an outside cage to an inside. These animals homeranges are hundreds of square miles, i can't hardly believe being cooped up in ANY enclosure could do him justice.
Theri ranges are hundreds of miles because they need that space to search for food, water and other necessities. Starving or dehydrating to death, or being killed by another animal, or even your own species, is a real possibility in the wild. Unless you believe animals enjoy walking aimlessly for miles a day.
I wonder then why a group of raccoons keeps coming to my garbage can at night for easy food instead of scrounging it up in the forest like they supposedly enjoy.
Would you rather live in a large house with toys, food, water TV, enrichment, and people for company, etc., or would you rather live by yourself for the rest of your life in the woods, where you are most likely going to die from dehydration, starvation, disease, or being eaten alive? :3
Animals don't have an easy life like we do. The wild isn't a magical happy place like in a Disney movie.
I dunno thats a tricky one, if the water isnt poisoned like ours is, if the food is fit to eat and again not poisoned. If the company is sane and not brainwashed by our society otherwise it would be horrible. TV only if it wasnt full of ads subliminals and had something of interest to watch instead of 24 7 crap. Enrichment haha thats a good one, we would all be enriched if we wernt buisy putting each other down. Tribes that live in the wild seem to be happy, animals get bored in captivity.

I know a thing or two about cougars. And the only difference between a pet cougar and a wild one is people, all other instincts remain intact. Wild animals should be FREE!

Cougars are not pets. They are supposed to be free. Its like having a tiger as a pet. U cannot domesticate wild animals. U want a pet feline, get urself a domestic cat.

Human is a species.
eyemfree 1 year ago
@eyemfree Honestly..This is what i'm talking about I do not speak with my heart or my head on this subject. It is not cruelty and can not be stopped unless you would like to release them from this "cruelty"? and let them die in the wilderness because of your own ideals. Also I am not crazy and I have my own opinion on this topic..However you're different from me and we don't have the same ways of thinking. However I respect your opinion.

People love to anthropomorphize animals. An animal doesn't have the same needs and wants as a human does.
When animals are stressed, whether it be a tarantula, bird, fish, dog or lion, they show it. These pet exotic cats do not show signs of being stressed. They look content.
If the animal is content then what's the problem?
Fleefles 2 years ago 4
Hahahahaha. No an animal has MORE needs than a human does. Humans are brainwashed by TV. A human can spend his lifetime staring at the TV, eating chips.
karimnn 2 years ago
The more you post, the more you show how ignorant you are when it comes to animals, I m not a bit surprised since you are caging a Cougar. Humans (at the time of this writing) live in societies, some of us though need to be incarcerated when we do something wrong, your Cougar hasn't done anything wrong AFAIK and by nature is a wild animal that need many square miles of space to roam. You will understand when your Cougar starts pacing back and forth inside its cage...
karimnn 2 years ago
You show equal ignorance as well. Many animals have been and CAN BE domesticated. Humans were once wild. Dogs and Cats were once wild..
We all adapt to the conditions we are in and evolve.
I agree taking a pure wild animal from its habitat is detrimental, but there is nothing wrong with captive bred.
If this is such a big deal to you, then why dont you go stand outside a prison and demand all the prisoners be released.
Your shit talk is a trend. do some research.
13098519 2 years ago
You're not listening; prisons are for people who have done wrong. What has your Cougar done? Nothing.
karimnn 2 years ago
yeah,, but your not paying attention! This cougar is not in a prison!
you fail to see the principal of the matter and you automatically assume the worst. also, so you know, i dont have a pet cougar, nor do i wish to have one as a companion. I just disagree with your thought process and think that your quite ridiculous in your assumptions.
13098519 2 years ago
Not in a prison? How do you figure? You mean because there is nor warden and no curfew? Or is it because the Cougar appears to be happy. I have seen many "domesticated" wild animals, at one point, they will grow tired of the limited space, as I mentioned, these animal instinctively need to roam and hunt. Once they mature, they also need to mate. How about the Cougar's point of view for a change? Can't you see that this Cougar is simply there for someone else's satisfcation?
karimnn 2 years ago
ah.. so you know exactly what cougars need and how they think? interesting.. how long have you been speaking to cats?
Im interested now,, besides of what YOU have HEARD,, what studies have you done? any publishings? experience working with this animal? education? so far your best argument is "you assume to know what they think and feel" German Shepards used to run wild, and are STILL happy animals being domesticated.
In the right hands, there is no harm in animal companions!!
13098519 2 years ago
We have learned to live with animals and they have learned to live with us. We own animals, and they own a part of us. We took ourselves out of the wild and evolved into a domesticated society. we do the same with animals. and they evolve with us. In fact, if im not mistaken, Captive bred animals live longer than wild animals exposed to the elements.
Im sure these owners know exactly what they are doing.. otherwise im sure they would not even be around this animal.
13098519 2 years ago
You keep stating examples that are not relevant. German Sheppards are dogs; dogs have been companions to humans for milleniums, Cougars haven't. Dogs get to walk and run freely in parks, on daily basis, people aren't afraid to pet them. This is a Cougar that is encaged, it doesn't get to roam, Cougars have never been friendly with humans, you are just arguying for the sake of argument... Don't bother replying, I'm done posting. thanks for reading and good luck to you.
karimnn 2 years ago
no! your too ignorant to see the hardcore scientific facts and wanting to hate on someone just because YOU dont agree with it, wich in the first place your reasons are stupid! keep thinking what you want, the more you post the more im going to argue with you because i believe your reason of thought to be stupid!
And if you cant understand the principal of the facts i explained than maybe you should be done arguing!
13098519 2 years ago 2
Many people do not take their dogs to parks to run freely. They maybe get time going on walks while being restricted on a leash. Dogs still have the instinct to form packs just like wolves do. Even non-feral dogs bite, maim and kill people. And it takes only one generation away from human contact for a dog to be feral.
Captive bred "wild" animals can be just as docile as other pets. I'm sure if my cat was as big as a lion he would be considered a "wild" and "dangerous" animal as well.

Fleefles 2 years ago 2
Of course it is wrong to cage a dog, it is wrong to encage any being, human or animal. I know many people who own dogs, if fact I owned a dog myself, it was never encaged, none of the dogs I know are encaged. This is a cage, look at the video and realize that this cage is the only place where this cougar is allowed to roam.

front- Its one thing to have them in a shelter or zoo in order to help them reproduce faster to avoid extinction.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
People need to live somewhere. If you care so much, maybe you should give up your home to those people building their houses in "cougar terroritory."
Unless you think only you should be able to live on former wildlife habitat.
Fleefles 2 years ago 2
To even compare driving, biking, or walking as risky as owning a wild animal as a pet is ridiculous. Wild animals pose a threat to anyone living near them, including their owners. Wild animals should not be kept in captivity, they should be out in the wild. PERIOD.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
Your odds in the USA of dieing in a car accidents is 1 in 84 odds of being killed by a big cat is literally on in over three million. an average 1 death per year by captive big cat and an average 33 per year by dog. But apparently in your other post no one should be allowed to have anything larger than a chihuahua(can't turn on you). Though a little dog could just might not be as damaging.
TamanduaGirl 2 years ago
Maybe the reason why very few people die at the hands of big cats is because most of us dont live anywhere near them. For example, what are the chances of being killed by a panda in the wild here in america? The answer to that is zero, since there are no pandas in wild outside of Asia. Ur comparisons are dull and lack any reasoning.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
1 in 4 will be involved in an auto accident in their life & 84 per year killed that way. You can assume most are drivers or voluntarily in a vehicle. out of an estimated 30,000 big cats only one kills someone each year, always has been a keeper/owner or someone voluntarily at the facility housing the animal, most have been at zoos and commercial establishments. While 1% of drivers are involved in an accident where they fall asleep at the wheel. .003% of captive big cats kill. Safer than driving.
TamanduaGirl 2 years ago
It takes an expert to deal with wild animals. Wild animals are not for everyone, unlike driving where anyone can do that. U cannot compare the two. Its a no-brainer to prohibit owning a big cat, especially in heavily populated areas.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
You could not take a person from a third world country who has never seen a car and expect them to drive with no instruction. So yes they can be compared. Both require some instruction and experience to do right. That does not mean no one should be allowed to. Zoos are run by humans so why can't other humans also take care of big cats? Most zoos are in populated areas. The above is obviously not and the caging just as good and the animal healthy and happy. So what makes this bad a zoos good?
TamanduaGirl 2 years ago
Driving a car and taking care of a wild animal are two different things. Taking care of wild animals is something totally different. Its not for everyone. Unlike cars, animals have a mind of their own and if they get out of hand its a wrap.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
upsolutely agree if the cougars hungry and live in the house they can attack anyone I remember the russian guy that has a female cougar at home and every morning she wasn't happy before she had her breakfast 300 gramms of fresh meat
citymontreal 2 years ago
Many large pet dogs have gotten loose and killed people. Even little dogs have mauled and killed children.
Do you think people shouldn't be able to own dogs?
Fleefles 2 years ago
You're being illogical. Having a mind has little to do with the danger factor that you are arguing. A car doesn't have a mind yet it is still more dangerous, or maybe it is more dangerous because of that. Either way it is more dangerous. Cars kill pedestrians all the time. A parked cars breaks could fail and run down a hill into a house and kill a family. No escaped big cat kill someone not on the premises by choice in USA. So no by standers. Those killed all chose to take the risk.
TamanduaGirl 2 years ago
I am not being illogical. A parked car's break wont fail if it is parked. I never heard of that happening. If a big cat is hungry, it will attack anyone he does not recognize. I would not trust a wild animal in the hands of an owner.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
You can drive with a parking break on, if breaks are shot the force of being parked on a hill can get it moving. You obviously know nothing about big cats either maybe a STARVED cat could attack people but then so would a starved dog. A dog of mine fasted by the vet growled at me when she saw me eating. Otherwise a cat that was raised with people will not see them as food, except maybe children but then you simply follow safety guidelines same as for a car(ex. break maintenance/feeding cat"
TamanduaGirl 2 years ago
Thats why u dont have dogs that can turn on their owners. Jus like u dont have a wild animal as a pet.
BallinNQnz 2 years ago
There is no such thing as a special breed "that won't turn on their owners" ever. EVERY breed in existence has the capability of mauling people. Labs, Golden Retrievers, Dalmatians, Pomeranians, Poodles, German Shepherds, etc. have ALL killed humans.
Its all about how you raise and treat the animal, and taking safety precautions.

Don't limit yourself to only black & white!
sonicminion 3 years ago 5
I agree. And it's funny how these hypocritical fools would scrutinize someone who knows how to care for an animal, but don't say anything about the mistreatment of animals in pet stores (guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chinchillas)
But thats just the world right? Don't say anything about injustice...only injustice that is out of the norm.
ha
RapsodyRecordsNJ 3 years ago
Completely true. There are a million things wrong with this world that could use some change, but instead of focusing our power to those problems, we instead focus on other things that arn't injustice, but we concider them that because it is not what we are use to. People are afraid of diffrence and don't like it when they can't understand something. So rather then try to understand they take the easy road and choose ignorance.

thats like keeping your child in your house under your rule forever. Well if you have kids u would know that at some point they want to get the hell out. When cougars reach maturity its instinctual for them to go out on their own. Just let them be wild why do we have to control them?

u mean move him from an outside cage to an inside. These animals homeranges are hundreds of square miles, i can't hardly believe being cooped up in ANY enclosure could do him justice.
BeckyJayne17 3 years ago
Theri ranges are hundreds of miles because they need that space to search for food, water and other necessities. Starving or dehydrating to death, or being killed by another animal, or even your own species, is a real possibility in the wild. Unless you believe animals enjoy walking aimlessly for miles a day.
I wonder then why a group of raccoons keeps coming to my garbage can at night for easy food instead of scrounging it up in the forest like they supposedly enjoy.
Fleefles 2 years ago 2
Would you rather live in a large house with toys, food, water TV, enrichment, and people for company, etc., or would you rather live by yourself for the rest of your life in the woods, where you are most likely going to die from dehydration, starvation, disease, or being eaten alive? :3
Animals don't have an easy life like we do. The wild isn't a magical happy place like in a Disney movie.
Fleefles 2 years ago 3
I dunno thats a tricky one, if the water isnt poisoned like ours is, if the food is fit to eat and again not poisoned. If the company is sane and not brainwashed by our society otherwise it would be horrible. TV only if it wasnt full of ads subliminals and had something of interest to watch instead of 24 7 crap. Enrichment haha thats a good one, we would all be enriched if we wernt buisy putting each other down. Tribes that live in the wild seem to be happy, animals get bored in captivity.
