@nokiauk I am very impressed that you have done an audio described version of the ad on Youtube and will be sure to pass this on to the VI forums; FB and Twitter to ensure that as many of us hear it as possible... Now, I dare you to show the audio described version on TV??!! And please, lets talk about what else Nokia are going to do with regard to access to their products for the blind comunity? Thanks again!
@dubmywub Thanks for the question about how blind people type. I'm using a screen reader on my PC right now. Screen readers are utilised by using keyboard cursors and keyboard commands. We access Nokia phones with screen readers too using the joypad and now, beleive it or not, screen readers are working with touch screen pyhones. I haven't made that leap yet, but, would like to, I'm still using my N86 at the moment.
@ 1 week ago Nice to hear that Nokia are working on meaningful accessibility to their phones... How exactly are they? With the move to Windows 7 for mobiles which has no accessibility to begin with? The blind community are all looking elsewhere at the moment as we feel that we will literally be left in the dark if we stay with Nokia for any more than the next couple of years. Third party providers are giving us the only access to Nokia phones right now.
Nice 2 know that Nokia r using a Blind Person to ad the N8. I'm blind myself. Nokia has poor adherence to meaningful accessibility to their phones. Phones are only accessible through third party software which costs from £150 to £250 That's just the start. Accessible SatNav is £500 min. Nokia, please work with the Blind Comunity to provide the kind of access this advert seems to illude to. And why didn't you audio describe the ad? Your door is open a jar to us, please open it fully!
What a wonderful story. Great photography Gary and well done Nokia for highlighting the difficulties of being blind! Loved the advert when I first saw it but just saw the article from London Thames News & realised he is from the same town as me. xxx
Blind people gain no profit from a touchscreen, esspecially a broke ass one.

do you delete all the negative comments saying how blind people cannot use a touch screen phone and get no gain from taking photos?
