  • It almost sounds like a 2 cycle .. :D

  • @unclewilly2 That's coz it is a 2 stroke

  • @Scootertuner1000 Oohh .. :) Thanks .. :D

  • @unclewilly2 simply awesome piece of machinery

  • @Scootertuner1000 Thats right ! :)

  • How much HP ? :P 15- 20 ?

  • you got to keep the classics alive

you wont' admire the modern machines if you don't respect the classics

  • that's really damned cool

  • eccelent!

  • pretty good shape for a bike that got hit by a car in 1918

  • i see this one got modern chains on it is that correct?

  • nice that the muffeler lets the exhaust out right at your ankle...

and how much did you spend on this beaute?

  • Lol can you imagine pulling up next to a Ninja 190 horse power Super bike at a red light on that puppy, in your WW1 brown flying goggles and Dr. Who scarf, revving up the engine real loud, looking over at the other guy and giving him a look like "BRING IT!!!!"

  • @cobrachoppergirl especially when they would laugh, and give you crap, and you can be all smug, knowing that this bike. is more than likely worth 3 or 4 of theirs, and far mroe desirable on the market as well

  • @yamahonkawazuki problem is , idiolizing this iron oldie too much rather than riding some current tech bike for its superior handling and reliability which keeps you safe on the best equipt of today. These old rust buckets may be worth money to the guys that have all the money , but time waits for no man and all this junk is going to rot like our soon to be rotten corpse and you cant take it with you. Better to put your treasures where rust or moth cant destroy , you figure that one out

  • @barymire fair enough. ill agree with that somewhat. BUT one can if desired, restore one of these, then sell it to someone else, and buy one of which you admire, ( or i do as well) ride the hell out of it, and sit on the rest of the money and draw interest Eh?

  • @yamahonkawazuki if you have the eternity to restore one of these and the money , go for it

But if you have a life and a wife or kids tell me where your treasures are ? Your right if your an expert and can make all your money in the short run and bank it on the gamble you get it all right for the big money guy collector

who accepts your restoration as correct , you have my best wishes doing it caus I would do it also rather than putting in 40 hrs wk working for someone else

  • @barymire this is true. ( its on my to do list.. have some money in a liquid account. have my investments elsewhere) i agree with your points of view. its all about priorities . i like a fast bike or whatnot as much as the next guy. have a small collection myself. , but somethign liek this has always been on my "want to do " list. but im anal about correctness. i wont jerry rig anything. i wont fix it to ride it. ill fix it to ride, BUT only using correct parts. tis not fast money

  • @yamahonkawazuki it can consume your life as I believe this life has plenty of distractions

Depending on your age and whats really lasting to put all your treasures into a project. Its up to you

be sure you realize all the risks, only you have to figure that out

  • @cobrachoppergirl you would win, cause he would pass the fuck out !!!

  • What is the length?

  • Engine sounds like it's really in good shape. For 1917 very smooth running for a 2 cycle

  • The crankcase looks like it has the crankshaft similar to a model airplane crankshaft.

  • real nice pap can i have it

  • That is a pretty machine, and starts right up too!

  • I'd love to ride machine like this.
